With the cam u have u should be seeing more vacuum at idle. My car is running 10inches of vacuum at idle and my cam is considerably bigger. You might have a leak or the base tune could just be way off. The car is going to need a real tune for it not to die out when u stop. Ask me how I know. Never could get the damn thing to act right until i went to an SD tune, now no probs. Good luck with the car it is going to be sick.

I had that intake and the gaskets they supplied me made me have a vacuum leak. I'd check around your manifold and see if you have a vacuum leak.

That thing better not be leaking I just put new gaskets on it. I am thinking about putting my stock intake back on just to see if it make a difference.

LOL, A little... I was really surprised when I saw that. However when I put the new ones in there was no change!

Can someone confirm that the harness for the 98 and 99 ls1 fbody are the same?

I'm pretty sure that they are the same also. I bought the msd blaster coils and they were for 98-02. You can use your same harness unless you are trying to eliminate the harness. Did the gaskets you used with the intake have holes punched in them for the head bolts that there? I tried everything to get it to seal, it wouldn't seal.

I got the most up to date ones directly from PP themselves. So I am pretty sure that they did. I think I am going to try a different intake and see if that make a difference. I am going to worry about the miss first I think.

Thats how rich my engine was running on the first start up. Take a extra set of plugs with you when you get it tuned. Also if you have a torch just turn the gas on and wave it around the intake if rpms climb = vac leak. I wouldn't drive it much with it that rich you could wash the oil from the cylinder walls and burn up your new rings.

Looks clean. Did you drop the k member to tap the pan? If so, why didn't you do a little rattle can clean up in the bay? Did you fab up the kit yourself?

I did rattle can it so I am not sure which spot you are talking about....LOL I will also state that I did not build this to show it, so prettiness was not that important to me.

This is Josh's setup, he fabbed it (KYTP). I was originally going to buy one from him but he posted that he was to busy at the shop and was taking anymore orders. So I had to buy one from an individual that was selling it.

The twin 76mm Setup was built in house by myself at Kentucky Turbo & Performance Inc.

The clean up on the car does look awesome. I have alot of work to do on my 02 Z28 to get the shine back.
