Nice looking car. Hope you get everything ironed out. Even if you don't tune yourself, HPT or EFILive are both good tools to have around to scan at the very least.

Good luck

Can someone explain how lowering the fuel pressure did that and still aloud the car to drive normally? I can see idle, but how cruising and part throttle?

I'd suggest taking it to Speed Inc and let Jim tune it in sd....that way you can forget it...turn the boost up or down and the tune will autocompensate.

The plan is to have speed inc tune it. I was hoping that the tune that I just got from then would be enough to put 100 miles on it. Does not look like that is going to be the case.

Can anyone tell me if I am good to drive the car 20 miles? If I do not get any where near boost. The fuel pressure is at 3psi and driving I am in the 10.8 to 11.5 range in AFR.

It's a typo. It was running between 28-30 psi.

Yeah sorry that was a typo did not even notice that. I did the wd40 test, yeah no leaks. Car did nothing different. Also by lowering the pressure with the car idleing my vac went up. so that is a positive. It is not have the problem that it was with it dying at stop lights.

would wd40 really work? I would think if anything, it would make the rpm's go down cause its not as (flammible) i guess you would say. lol just curious, always up for new ideas. what about this? as far as i understand. efi cars require alot more pressure than a carborated car. if this was a carb car. the plugs are pig rich, it loads up something fierce, and backing off the fuel pressure fixed it but not running the correct amount. i would say to big of jets or to big of a power valve. basically sounds like backing off the fuel pressure is a way of giving the motor less fuel but now the fix. would that be the tune or too big of injectors? or am i looking at this wrong? lol im new to fi so im trying to learn to.

Try carb cleaner if you have any lying around.

where are the O2's in relation to the downpipe outlet? I know my car isn't FI but if I run my cutouts open for too long which are on the QTP cutout-ORY, the sensors are only a few inches from the outlet and I eventually get an insufficient switching code and it starts running like crap, smelling like raw fuel, and missing, close the cutouts and it goes back to normal after 10-20 miles.

Could be part of the problem if you're still running open DP.

Beautiful set up though!

Fortunately I am running open loop so there is no need for o2's. I did however just find out very important information in regards to my tune that may be causing the problem.

Apparently there was some confusion on the 2 bar/3 bar tune. They put a 3 bar tune on, I have a 2 bar map sensor.... I am going to buy a new sensor as we speak!
