Leads me to believe I bought the wrong v-band clamps.
Yes of course. The clamp and flanges need to be matched to proper fitting. If the spacing in the clamp is not right, there is no way for the flanges to meet flush and make any type of seal.

Be careful with silicon or other sealers, a blob of silicon going through your turbo at 60,000 rpm could get expensive.

Thats what i was getting at with the part number and making sure its the right size. 0320 makes me think it is 3.2 inches. And you have 3 inch pipe. The working range for 0320 is probably something like 3.2 inches to 2.9 inches. (im guessing)

You definatly want to make sure you have the right vband. If its not getting tight enough that could be your problem.

When i did my piping my flanges came with the vband. So i didn't have any guess work when it came to picking out the vband. I would cut the pipe to length, and weld the flange onto the pipe.

Maybe try to find a dealer of clampco stuff and im sure they will have a spec sheet with working range for each part number.

I will let you guys know what i end up doing.

I passed by SP today and Tim said the V-Bands I had looked good, but were a little too big. He didnt have anything smaller in stock, as most supras have like 4-5inch pipes lol.

New shop is very nice! I was there for the opening day too. It is WAY bigger then the old shop. Only thing is that it is hidden in the back of a bunch of buildings.

When I was at the open house, I saw the 350z and the G35 they were working on. Its crazy to think how much power those cars now have.
