The reason I ask about this block is My machinist and I are planning on welding tab's to the block and on my AFR head's . This way I can bolt the head down where the head's lift at. Along with o-ringing the head's and block.
It seems everytime I change head gaskets out, it only pushes on the bottom side of the head and not the top. With that said, we are hoping that this will eliminate or atleast make it to where i can get a few more week's at the track with it before changing the gasket's.

Yes. But I am also looking for alternatives than spending the $4500 for the other Aluminum block's. If this will work well enough for the average racer and is cost effective for the average racer like me, then this is something we can all have done.
Wheel to wheel has been modifiing ls2 blocks to add the extra head bolts.I think they add some stiffining inside the block too.You might want to call them and see what all they are doing to strengthen them.

Sorry, that is not the way it work's. I can go as fast as I want with this new setup, especially since I am cutting the weight another 300lbs. or so!

I have billet main cap's already and I am going to buy a girdle for block stiffening as well. My main concern was pushing water and adding the extra tab's should help out alot. I have talked to Kurt, but not about this option.
