Forced Induction Cam
For you guys running the EPP or a other cam of like spec. How does the cam fill in the low to mid of the power band and how does it hold up on top. I understand this is not a huge cam just looking and should produce fair power across most of the power band just looking for a little more feed back from owners. You could say i am still debating to go with my tech that thinks its too big or run with the EPP vs his advice.

Wow man, a 27x cam? EESH dude, that is BRUTAL. What kind of drivability do you get out of that? Trailer queen? Thought I was doing decent on the 408 with an MTI R1 cam. Wanted decent street manners, and it's also going to be twin turbo, so wanted quick spool on the street but the ability to pump some air into it!
the car is not tune yet, i am on the braking in period i need another 100 miles on the motor before i get it tune, so far the clutch is holding just fine, i am not expecting that much of power since it is low compression motor 9.1

On a turbo motor your going to tell me compression has to do with overall power?
Please please enlighten me. When you use a turbo and max it out, doesnt matter what compression you have the end total will be the same.
Now if your talking about just running a measily 8psi through a turbo that is capable of 1200whp. Then yes compression will make a difference in power.
And compression only adjusts the position of the power curve in reference to the rpms.

Compression is a huge factor in all engines including forced induction and nitrous applications. And it is a direct factor on overall power even on a turbo or SC engine. Lets say you are building a street car with a mild turbo set up. You want to run mild boost but still maintain pre boost power. You may drop your compression down to 9.5-1 or 9.0 -1 so you can run that higher boost. But how do you get boost in the first place. Is it not in direct relation ship to the exhaust gas pressure and the engine breathing out that has a direct relationship to the engines compression if i am not mistaken. And is a huge factor in how much boost you can run and where. And 8 PSI could be a lot of boost depending on the size of the turbo.
