Ok finished up my build and have some opinions on my gt7. It has no lope. It has near 590 lift with the 1.8s but is still pretty mild in my 408. You could run it with 1.7 rockers.Is near identical to the 05z06 cam if you can get one of those for cheaper go for it. The gt2-3 was their old FI cam more suited to supercharger.

I wanted a lopeless cam and I got one. No surging no problems ,well stalling very occasionally but thats my lack of tuning at idle. Will figure it out. Also by staying lower on the lift you won't need to change out valve springs near as often.

what about LS7 cam would that work well that thing is way bigger than a ls6
and what a 121 LSA or something like that

nobody bother askign WHY he wants a cam?

why do you want to put a bigger cam in?

stock motor will only sustain so much hp big cam or stock cam

UNLESS the mod is ONLY to give you some certain sound you are looking for SAVE your money toward a built engine.

I dont think i need to go all out and build the engine yet. Keep in mind my goal is only 500 wheel horse's This could be accomplished very easy with a .70 or .78 trim but for now i am keeping the .60 around. In the future i will go throw and rebuild but for now my goal is only to reach the 500 mark. Before i go into building any future i need to do a few things. First off i am waiting for the stock A4 to give out so i can drop a built A4 in. The second will be a 12 bolt and some good front and rear suspension goodies. After we get there we may try to go bigger and better but for now i would like to keep the stock cubes and the smallish .60 thats why i am asking about cams.

Here are some comparisons from lingenfelter to stock cams..

Might find this interesting..so buy stock one if they are cheaper. Ling are custom and might have different ramp rates and stuff..not all specs are on paper.


ng and z06 cam specs.

01 ZO6 cam: 204/211 .525/.525 -116 LSA
Lingenfelter GT2 205/212 .540/.540 –116.5CL

02-03 ZO6 cam: 204/218 .551/.547 -117.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT2-3 207/220 .571/.578 –118.5CL

05-07 ZO6 cam 210/230 .561/.557 –120.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT7 208/230 .554/.546 –121CL

Pretty simular don't you think?


The last two were their main fI grinds in almost all their builds. The gt7 is their current main fi grind. All the above will work fine in stock engines and in bigger ones.

can make 800rwhp on stock cam fyi if you arent doing a cam swap for the sound then dont do it right now.

lol a little too late now but thanks for the truthful advice i am running a 228/232 114 i am hopping the car will respond well but i am not sure what she will pick up from this cam?

I totally agree but in this case its a little to late. The cam is already order and may be in the car by now with the patriot springs.
