we have a d1 on a built 370 with a cam on 112 sep, and the pulley set up we have should make like 10-12 psi and we are only getting 5 maybe 6

the crank side is a 7inch the blower side 3.7 at 6200rpm we are pretty sure there is not much belt slip
The blower red lines 62000 capable of 32psi with though pulley set up we are spinning the blower 46374 a little over half the red line

I doubt you're loosing that much boost b/c of the cam. What kind of power does it make? That's what's really important.

we have a converter that is letting go under boost ,but it made like 452whp on a mustang dyno on 5psi with the converter locked and still slipping 2600rpm from engine rpm to input shaft in the tranny, so new converter is in the mix

A 112 LSA is not going to kill the boost level. Yes you will be bleeding off some boost because of that, but not a great amount. There are many people making some pretty good power with a 112 LSA cam. They could make some more power with just a cam swap. If you are only seeing 5 to 6 psi with a 12 psi combo, you got other problems than just a 112 LSA cam.

I have seen plenty of people running ms3/g5x3 combos with superchargers and they have made some great numbers so I wouldnt say your cam isnt compatible with FI, just isnt optimal but will still do the job. As for Turbo or SC, its really up to you as both will make great numbers. A procharger D1SC kit is a straight foward install and is a proven performer. However you need to deal with changing belts/pullies to adjust boost. Turbo kit is a little more involved to install however you can adjust boost on demand and usually will see slighly better numbers. Is this going on a stock bottom end?

Disagree 100% .Turbos are great on the street and with the new electronic controllers like the eboos2 you can ramp the boost in like progressive nitrous setups.

Off boost my car is just like stock..well stock with a built 408.. And only dropped compression to 9.5 so still pretty snappy down low off boost. On boost even just letting it hit a few pounds currently for break in, its still plenty powerful.

Thru the years they have been many many factory turbo cars and far less supers. Most supers for the street have been the roots types like the grand prix gtps .Not sure if they have ever put centrificals on street cars factory. They do work fine though too and some like the way the power comes on more controllable with centrificals.

But if you do your reading turbos are the most effiicient of all the fi setups. Controllable easily and no belts to slip. installation can be pretty intense . My kit was think rated 100 hours. But now its done and am happy camper pretty much.

go procharger put it on in a weekend and make an instant 500 rwhp. plus it is cheaper and easier to install. i've looked around myself and the next ss i get will get a d1 and live hapily ever after. until i turn up the boost on a good bottom end and add a little spray.700+rwhp on a dependable every day driver setup for under 6k . just happens to be about the cost of a turbo setup.

if you jug your car on a 150 it should make really close to the 550-600rwhp mark. that is most fairly built mustang's nightmares! you should be able to walk all over a bolt on 03-04 cobra.

Well a d1sc kit would do the job. With that cam and say 6 psi you should be around or over 500 rwhp depending on tranny/rear/dyno. That would be a nightmare for most mustangs (non-kennebell or whippled cobras).
