Please god dont do that it suck a waste .I bought good stuff and on a budget the kit TC76 and all the extras is going to cost me a little over $2k , Its not worth doing juck setup $1200

I have pics in the link in my sig form what I have done so far . I got ahold of the (SFC pipe) and made the pipes from that to the intercooler so far . I am on hold cause I neeed to get the motor in , I also dont have a ton of time to work on this thing right now .

A tip for the f-body get that mid SFC pipe cause it looks like it would be a pain to duplicate . + 1 for under the axle too .

heres a few pictures of a rear mount I built for a guy here. For the most part I followed the new STS kit design but I made a few changes. Ground clearance is far superior as the charge pipe runs under the axle and in front of the LCA instead of wrapping under it. Only bad side is you have to loosen the clamp at the turbo when you jack it up otherwise it will pull on the connector and possibly rip it (although I forgot to do this once and it didnt tear but it was under a lot of stress)

I wasnt recomending doing the a half assed setup, but he asked for pics of custom kits. I wouldn't cut corners as well if I were going to do a custom kit trust me

you gotta ditch the longtubes as they disapate
too much heat, and heat is your friend in turbo land.
(for spooling)
also, just my opinion, but scrap the msd coils and use your stockers
as they are'nt prone to malfunction like the msd's can be.
and stock coils are good for well over your needs.
(ls2 truck coils are better/best if you want to upgrade).
what size tubo did you decide to butt mount?

What if i heat wrap the LTs? The MSDs came on the car when i got it.

I was thinking of putting a Holset H2D turbo on there.

Wrapping the LT's will make a WORLD of difference on a rear mount. If you'd rather keep them vs going to some iron manifolds, wrap them!

long tubes on a twin setup does work on high hp
builds. i really think they will hinder responce and spool
times even if you wrap them on a single rear mount.
i could be wrong.
(i guess you can deal with that when the time comes)
also, holset units i have no knowlege of... i like garrett,
turbonetics, borg warner, precision, ect...
are they budget minded turbos?
(you get what you pay for)

as for a cam, try getting a stock ls6 cam (02 and up)

I am starting to think maybe i should just do a custom front mount with truck manifolds. My LT will be up for sale soon.

Well i just put the cam in so its going to stay if it bad or good.

Its going to be a pain in the *** with the car lowered and that cam you got is going to kill your spool times with all the overlap . If I were you I would just get a pro charger and call it a day .

Or your going to have to change the cam and sell your LT

Call STS as they have just revised their F-Body turbo kit and it is a major upgrade from the old kit. Tighter fitting pipes, intercooler option and much more...
