Default Rear mount oil return ???

I am doing a custom rear mount ,I always see the return going to the pass valve cover .

I am just confused exactly where the pump is generaly mounted . Cause I always see pics of the pump mounted on the driveres side of the car .Where dose the line cross over to the pass . I am going to be using -10 an return line it seems that it would be a lot to rought following the fuel lines , along with the racetronics hot wire and all the other crap .

Any pics would be helpful also thanks

So I could just run it up the drivers side . But that still leaves the cluter probelm (feed, return, pump wiring and fuel lines if I ever do it )is a lot up that space specialy with the -10 . And crossing over at the trans dosent really solve anything

With enough thought you could build a rear mount system better than an STS kit. If it were me I would just build a front mount

ive seen some one do a self contained oil system it would cost more but less return and feed lines

1 feed pump 1 return and like a canister holding the oil located in the spare tire dept.

If was gonna say its proply safer with the self contained oiling system, but the oil would have to be heated up some how huh?

i think the oil wolud absorb the turbine heat,
i think the real problem is keeping it at a certain temp without it boiling
over after a few hard runs and keep the pressure in check

I have the original pump on my car but then again I've only had it on the car for a little over 3 years.

Do Not Run the oil line to the top of the motor. If you gonna build it do it right and return the oil to the pan, trust me its worth it.

That would be fantastic , If someone could let me know where in the pan I can tap a plug above the oil level (pics would be great)

a return is a return...
i think your golden as long as you maintain
pressure.
try it, it wont hurt.

but a bung in the pan at an even plain (as even/level as you can get)
with the turbo is best.

yes, you have to drop the pan.
pita! but once done, it's a pleasure
to maintain, and eliminates most of
the headaches that plague the rear mount
systems.
