525 to the tires is a lot. I know people talk about the 112 blower being small. But most people don't want a 800hp street car. You can't freakin hook that even if you had it.

People are unrealistic about things sometimes. Yeah you can get a procharger/turbo kit into 800+hp but not everyone has the money to support that kind of thing.

I agree that for FI, 500rwhp is a good goal. Hell a good H/C/I car will make at least 430 if not more. Buying a blower/turbo for twice the money at about the same power level doesn't really make sense.

I am looking forward to your build.

500 rwhp will be easy - make sure you have enough injector and upgraded fuel system and you will be good to go.

Thats the proble right there. 500 rwhp is too easy. Then people want more power and there goes the wallet and the cash in it.

It's about 1.8l. But the KB and Whipple are twinscrews and this is a Roots type blower.

Should be a fun project! Love the car.

LOL! Too true!! I made a big mistake when by upgraded my engine before the chassis, cooling/oiling system and worst of all the braking system.

If I had it to do over again, I would have started modding the car from the back to the front - rear end, suspension, chassis, brakes.

Sure it does! I'm going to make this power without breakin' a sweat man!

And no H/C package is going to give me the off idle tire smoking torque like this will. I'm not really going for peak numbers here. I don't think this will be easily beaten for a kickass and reliable street/strip car.

I really hope this quenches my thirst for a long time. Although, this thing isn't even done yet and other ideas are rolling around.

I learned that FI can get really expensive real quick.

If you build your car around the 500 rwhp area then you will be fine. Don't start chasing dyno numbers. You don't want to go that route.

Just finished the Patriot Gold Spring install. This was my first time working on a valvetrain ever. I couldn't imagine NOT doing this with the Crane tool. What a lifesaver!

Next on the to do list is my racetronix fuel pump, and Stage III monster clutch. Break that in, then going for the blower and GT2-3 install. Can't wait.

Installed Racetronix fuel pump and hotwire kit. Went good, not too bad at all. It's a very complete kit, started right up, primed easy. My trap door method was not a hack job either. Looks good to me and did it in my garage with a full tank.

I'm still not sure what the racetronix hotwire kit does, but was alot of work for a fuel pump I guess. I guess it decreases voltage drop, is that correct?

No. It increases voltage to the pump to provide more fuel when you start making boost.

Lookin good btw...

It gives you a constant higher voltage over the stock wiring allowing the pump to not work as hard to deliver the same amount of fuel
