I finally took the FI route...
I finally paid of my 2000 TA last month after 5 years and I knew all along that after five years of payments and putting on just about every bolt-on I could, getting little gains from those just wasn't enough. When I first went ape over Trans Am's in 98, all I wanted was a TA with Flowmaster exhaust, that was my dream car at the time. I never even got Flowmaster exhaust...
I've researched engines and building HP on this forum, through GMHTP and finally decided FI would be right for me. Nitrous is cool, but it's just not there all the time. Big heads and cam is great too, but I want low-end grunt. I seriously considered every power adder in the past 2 years. When I heard about the Magnacharger kit from LM, I pushed everything aside and wanted that boneriffic blower whine, power on demand, a stunned look on peoples faces, and to just get slammed back into the seat.
I just placed my order for the Magnacharger setup from LMSpeed. Ed was most helpful in answering the few little questions I had left and I'll have the kit in about 2 weeks. I got some more parts on the list to buy to install myself before the car goes back to RMCR in Colorado Springs for the install and tuning in February.
Man I'm stoked!

I've also got the LPE GT2-3 cam, patriot dual springs, ported oil pump, timing chain, pushrods, racetronix fuel system, autometer gauges and a couple other things. Just over 7k in parts I think. This is going to be fun!
I'll post more as the install progresses here.

I've got a hard on for a maggy blower right now. I will wait to see if it will pass or not. I think for what I am looking for the LM or MTI kit may be the easiest/best thing for me.
Good luck with it.
IMHO, the LMS kit looks better, and is more complete than the other's kit.
I'm really interested as to what it's going to feel like once it's all said and done. Ed told me that anywhere below 3/8 throttle, the car will drive like stock, but stabbing the throttle in 1st and 2nd gear results in instant tire spin. He said the feeling is comparable to getting rear ended by a truck. I told him great, and that was the effect I'm going for.
I've never been around in anything more than a bolt on F-Body, so I'm really looking forward to this.
I'll be installing the valvesprings, fuel pump, and lots of other supporting mods and bolt-on's beginning next month. I have to wait for my vacation (early March) to install the blower and tuning. Ed thinks this combo with the blower, GT2-3, and Kooks LT's will be capable of putting down 525 to the rear wheels. I'll keep updating here with new information and photos as the build progresses. Videos will follow.
