I was looking at heads and cam a long time ago, and nitrous. But once LMS came out with a direct displacement blower to fit, I was sold on it.

Blower will be installed and tuned this month. Monster stage III goes in this weekend along with a pro 5.0 shifter, flywheel, input bearing, updated slave, and safety loop.

I just hope this goes smooth...

Some other things I've installed recently

Fan switch

Cutout opener

Gauges

Yeah, I've been busy trying to get this thing off the ground

Waiting on my AR rebels with BFG KDW's to come in this month off of national backorder too to finish it off!

Yea, I've done, Nitrous, Heads and cam, and turbo, I've just always loved the roots blowers. Good luck with the install.

Well, just got the last of the supporting mods that I could accomplish installed and the car goes in on Monday for the blower and cam install. I should have it before next weekend. They're quoting 15 hrs. on the install over about 3 days. I'll drop in each day and get pics of the progress and try and be present for dyno tuning ready to take some video.

This is from another post

Just finished my install yesterday and am about 60 mi. into the break in period. I installed the Monster Stage III clutch, flywheel, pilot bearing, new slave, Pro 5.0, and remote clutch bleeder. Had some trouble getting my hands on the right tool to pull the pilot bearing so wasted a good bit of time on that, (those things are stubborn) and aligning the clutch took a few tries, but got it all together no problem, trans slid right in. This was my first one so it was a learning experience and took awhile.

Remote bleeders are awesome and bleeding was the easiest part!

As far as performance on the clutch goes, it's awesome and grabs like right now! Chatters and shudders a bit, but that's expected for a break in period, just gotta raise the RPM's a little bit while getting into 1st, but great after that. Pro 5.0 feels good as well. Engagement point is stock and pressure is just a hair more. Feels great!

Once this break in period is up, I can't wait to slam some gears.

That's me with the glasses

The links in the last post don't work. Why don't you just install it yourself? You did all of the supporting mods without a problem and that would save you money. It would also give you the confidence that it was done right.

Links are fixed.

I know, and me and my car buddies have talked about it.

Right now I'm on leave from an Iraq deployment. I've spent more time on the car than I've wanted to already and probably saved about 2 g's on doing things myself. I'm tired of busted and bloody knuckles and arms and dirty fingernails and I need to spent some good time with the woman. Besides, if I installed it, I couldn't tune it. I can drop it off, pay them to do it, and enjoy the rest of my time. I'll just go in and check on them. It's really worth it to me. Besides, I'm helping a buddy go from his 305 TBI to a 383 TPI. So I'll get some more satisfaction from helping with that.

The rest of the install is just a little too far into the engine for me, and these guys are pro and will help me with any problems in the future. They're forced induction specialists, I am not. They're installing a Magnacharger on an SSR before my car goes in there on Monday.

Car was dropped off yesterday and install should have begun today. I'll pop in tomorrow or thursday to see how it's going, but should be all tuned up before the weekend.

Engine is out today, blower is resting on the engine, pics are below, waiting to be all buttoned up tomorrow.

Today I watched RMCR...

-Install my camshaft, pushrods, TR6's, ported oil pump, and timing chain.

-Pin the crank

-Verify valvetrain geometry

-Fix some other little electrical issues I was having and plug wire problems. Just some sloppy work I had done.

-The intake manifold didn't clear the oil pressure sending unit enough to connect the plug. Rotating it won't help either. That will have to be clearanced a little with a grinder. A little upset about my intake needing to be ground to fit properly. But I guess there's always a little grinding necessary.

The kit was a little incomplete, missing the correct bar MAP sensor, Ed denied it so I had to buy it, $60 down the toilet. I'm not going to even pursue this with LM Speed. They also commented on how crappy the instructions were which anyone would agree with. If you buy this kit, just make sure everything is there, and you know what you're doing or have someone else do it for you.

You may ask why the engine is out, but RMCR drops engines to change oil. They take it out for everything. Although they were doing a cam and oil pump, dropping the engine makes things alot easier. But they don't have to remove the radiator, fans and shroud though.

I knew these guys were good, but their attention to detail is amazing. They clean all the mating surfaces nice, loctite and digitally torque everything down. No shortcuts, and I know this is going to hold together.

Maybe tomorrow I'll bring my digital camera. These were just cell phone shots.

Maybe.

The intake manifold touches the electrical connector on the oil pressure sending unit. Pretty self explanatory I think. Should just have to grind about 1/8 an inch around it. It will not plug in the way it is now.

It's right at the flange where the upper and lower portions of the manifold meet.

Yes, you have to install longer bolts and k member spacers. It's basically a body lift.

Well, car was at RMCR for another day today. So far, all the wiring than can be dressed while the engine was out has been done, fuel and coolant lines for the intercooler ran also. The pully and serpentine system was installedd and they did the necessary clearing on the cowl that had to be done for the belt system on the blower to fit. You can see the cut that needed to made in the photos looking up through the engine bay. Camera ran out of juice before I could snap shots of the welded in piece. It took a good bit of massaging, banging, chopping and grinding to get it to fit, but you won't even be able to tell. Didn't get pics of that. As of right now, the engine is probably back in the car, I couldn't hang around and watch. Again, RMCR's attention to detail is awesome. Monday is going to be the tuning and dyno day.

More issues with the kit though. It came with a pulley that was smooth instead of ribbed, they had to replace that. And they installed a blower pulley that was a 1/10th of an inch smaller than the pulley that came with it, so it should put out a bit more boost for me. They also had to fab an additional bracket for the LS3 belt tensionor that came with the kit.

As far as this LM Speed kit goes, well, my kit at least, it's not complete. And they didn't do their homework on putting out a complete and bolt in kit. To be honest, after they got my money, I feel like they screwed me. You would think that when you pay over 6k for a custom supercharger kit it would at least come with a parts list. I may write or call them and address these issues, maybe not. I'll probably get told to pound sand. Maybe Ed will contact me an address these issues, because he does know, and that would be a stand up thing, but I doubt it. But at this point, I'm just really happy to see it all coming together.

Anwyay, enjoy the pics. I'll get final pics and video of tuning and dyno runs on Monday, which cannot come fast enough.

Are the issues you mentioned typical for this kit or do you think you got a bad one? You should definately call and find out.

I know I have sent them 2 emails over the past few months that haven't been replied to. Maybe it's because I haven't bought mine yet but I wanted some questions answered before I dropped that kind of money.

Anyways it's still looking good man! Keep up the documentation.
