How do you keep your heads on your car pushing 20 pounds of boost. Any meth injec. or o-ringing or anything.
Wow custom irs 400 setup thats really awesome. Putting a turbo kit together is one thing but putting together a custom driveline like that is impressive. What times are you looking to run with that. I dont think ill ever change my 6 speed i love banging through the gears. But who knows maybe after the car is together after a few years i might swap one in for a couple track passes to see all its got.
2.5 Inch pipe will be fine. As for the heads, I am running a tall deck ETP head with 1/2 Inch head studs. The block and heads are both o-ring with a copper gasket. It may sweat a little coolant in the winter, but it sure doesn't push any boost past the o-ring I hope to run some 8 second passes IRS. I was also a big fan of the six speed, but after a certain power level it becomes more of a head ache. The corvette guys have to deal with a weak differential issue due to the unique design of mounting the transmission in the rear. Any sort of wheel hop or flex, the diff will take out the tranny main shaft. Then the clutch holding 1000+ rwhp, 1000+ lb/tq will start to show signs weakness rather quickly. I figure leave the gear smashing to my super charged c5 which is much more fun *700rwhp 630lb/tq.

yea i know what ya mean at least you have 2 of them. i cant wait to see what she runs next year. Is your kit made out of stainless tubing or just mild? Yea i plan to run a 402 with afrs and i plan to o-ring my heads and block. By any chance what on average does that cost to have that done? with the victor junior as already mentioned. are you running a bs3 or any other kind of stand alone system?

Nice nice car. Love the fact that you are still banging gears. What if anything is done to the trans?

They have a very large T3 1.06 A/R turbine housing which is about the equal to a .75 A/R T04 housing.

The compressor is a T04S housing.

Jeff, I showed your car to a friend of mine, he was wondering what the colour was specifically, he's looking for ideas for his Shoebox.

Nice ride ya got,I'm on the CF and Z06 forum all the time. You just got back to the CF right? Didn't you get a time out?Anyway regardless of what others say If you are gonna be at the track, you need a cage.To be honest I don't see how they let you run.Down here at our track you would have gotten kicked out after the first pass.Yall don't go by NHRA rules up their?

With that kinda trap speed you need a cage.Just say the car that just left the line in your lane, blows a radiator line on the big end? And It goes unseen and at that trap speed you hit coolant. All that money you got in that car and you wont install something that will save your life.

And you can't say its not going to be at the track. If you going for 9.45's your gonna be their alot. From 9.9's to 9.4's is gonna take some passes. You have a fast car treat it as such, use every thing you can in the name of safety. If I didn't make it clear.Your one pass away from getting killed at the dragstrip.

Not trying to be a tool and preach, but I've seen some bad wrecks at the strip. And the last one 2 months ago.If the car didn't have a cage the guy wouldn't be here.My car goes deep in the 10's and I've gotten black flaged from 4 tracks. No cage no run.So I don't run my car at the track anymore.I woke up and realized that the tracks don't want to spoil your fun. They don't want to be the ones to call your family and saying,Their was a mishap at the track,he didn't make it.
