I am not familiar with turbo setups, but wouldn't an accusump solve all those issues? It is cheap insurance for $400.

I am building a white 98 transam with another 377iron block with new ETP265cc heads, with a single EZ94mm billet turbo. Keeping A/C and all the comforts. Going to be a street car that we can get in a go race and drive home.

I am sure it would, but I was not familiar with the starvation issues until now. The new motor will have something different to preven this.

we are currently working on a wet sump solution geared for drag racing and TURBO cars. Looking to focus on the F-body platform first too! check out our Pro/Cam division, on our site.

I run the push rods, high volume pump and Moroso pan 7500 rpm and no problems.

I did have a problem with stock push rods and oil pan.

The rods "are fine", but the mains are toast.
Given the rods are lubed last, how would they be good to go, and the mains not???

So is 7000 rpms considered a lot of RPM? I've read a lot of guys running the stock 01 and 02 motors to 7000-7200 without issues.

I'm still on a factory oil pump (not high volume) and turn the engine 7000-7100 at the track. I try to make sure I have an extra quart in the system.

Moroso pan is a good upgrade for wet sump setups I hear. Requires running a remote mounted oil filter I believe.

Do you have the ET heads already? If not who are you planning on getting them from?

The rods came apart at the cap's I belive. They were h-beam rods(scat).
All the other rods are fine. Plugs look great. On the data log the a/f was good!

H-beams, in this case Scat, and 2 yrs of 1000HP operation, could well equal fatigue of the rods, bending, knocking out the brgs, then breaking.
Experience w/ H-beams in that kind of enviorment, can cause fatigue cracking on the thin edges of the sides, allowing the fold over, and subsequent failure.
Have seen this happen w/ Carrillo's in turbo Buicks, [over 1000FWHP] Current thinking is I beams of high quality, IE: Oliver, etc.
