Couldn't even get the car to cruise.. the injectors would keep coming on and then cutting off when we gave it any throttle.
Damn that sucks. Who do u have tuning it?

I think the M/T has alot to do with heat. Its just when your on teh street it would get old fast doing burnouts before anytime you wanted to go WOT. I am wondering if the m/t is the best choice for the street personaly. I guess my question would be what tire hooks better on the street at normal operating temperatures. If its cold out.. the car is practicly usesless on the m/t.

Pics Please!! I don't mind going to a taller tire and I would like to put a stock V6 spring in the back anyway for better comfort. I could give a **** about handling really. As long as it handles as good as stock, I'm ok.

ill try to shoot a pic tomororw

and i much rather drive the M*H's raither than my 26" mt's

even though these are 325, they dont have that wide of a cross section only about 10.1

they're 28 tall and my cars on SLP springs i clear just fine by literally 3/16 front and back bumper/quarter panel on stock ZR1 style 17's

the MT's i have 255/50R16 26 tall and the width is the same as my 275 nitto NT555R's

i roast the **** out of the MT's and you can tell its got some peeling in the tire from the grip its causing.

but the M*H's are soaking up all the shock. the compound seems a lot harder and the sidewalls dont feel so baloon like but it just grabs and goes. its difficult for me to spin them 3rd gear brake boosting to 15 psi

i was able to break the rear loose brake boosting 2nd gear to 15 psi and letting it rip ( and thats with the tires COLD)

im on a stock rear end so i havent tried to really light them up and give it all its got

but from what i can tell so far

my M&H's Feel better on the road/safer, comfy, although a bit ugly due to a huge tire, they hold traction great, and seemingly have a much longer treadlift than my mickeys

i talked to john hashim at M*H and he said the tires he sells will grip better, last longer at the same price and the reason is because they use kevlar ( might be somethign else it was a year ago since i spoke to him about this) in the sidewall construction while everyone else is still using cheap nylon or steel belts

its difficult to see but

325 M*H's run very very very narrow they fit on stock 17X 9.5's although if you put them on a wider wheel im sure theyll be happier

p.s. these tires hook for me doin full blast 1-2 2-3 3-4 shifts with the tires COLD

not quite 800 WHP but its an M6 car and they work well for me..

Nittos are by far the best tire for the street. i have 315/35/17s on stock ZR1's. @ 803 rwhp the car would dead hook in first gear from 20mph in warm weather. bang second not even a chirp. M/T's and BFG's are garbage on the street. the compound sucks for pavement

I had the same size Nittos on mine and loved them on the street too. They gripped well and didn't scare me to death in the rain like the M/T's do. Couldn't get them to hook at the track though so I switched to M/T DR's on a 16 inch wheel for drag racing.

I love the M/T ET Street Radials on the street...... i thought Nitto's were crap...

325/50/15's worked just fine for me.....820-830 on 17 psi and pump 93.... and from a roll on the freeway with 20+ psi and race gas was no problem....... even at 80mph.... no spin..

the nittos are not as good on the track as a M/T or BFG. but on the street the others can't come close to the nittos.

What width are stock zr1? Don't I need an 11 inch rim to run 315/35/17s?
Do I have to hammer anything? I have 275/40/17 now but they are worn down too much. I am not sure if want to try some new 275/40/17 or go to 315s but like my firehawk rims and they are think 17 by 9.5.

I am a bit confused now with some of you guys running the nittos saying they can hook up and some running the drag radials saying they hook up. I have spare set of 16 inch rims from my 96z28 that can use at track with drag radials.I know the drag radials like the et streets are better at our track.
But mostly just want to be able to use some of my power on the street.
I might be content to leave my car at around 650rwhp but it would be nice to be able to use full power of 800rwhp or so not counting spray. I can ramp in that boost with my eboost2 and might try racelogic traction control mentioned in another thread.

i run an 11" rim but last season ran a 10.5 rim still good.

i dunno if i agree w/ nittos being better on the street, but my mt's work good on the street and i havent bothered with nittos in years to compare

The M&H 390 won't hook in the leaves/snow/mud at less than half 800rwhp. /albums/p85/99percenter/?action=view&current=IMG_0037.jpg][/URL]
