I have seen a couple combos make about 600 rwhp, but those are pushing the limits of the maggie.

580-600 would make tons of toque down low but lose it on the top end

ya the maggie would by out of breath way to early on a 383. a d1sc would be perfect for it and put down an easy 700rwhp.

Don't say that on performancetrucks.net (see radixtrucks.net) lol. I agree 550whp and they start being rated in BTU's.

They make for great 500hp drivers though, good for off idle smoke shows.

The question is which maggie? The new TVS 1900 does not fall off on the top end like the 112 or 122. My torque curve on a 408 was basically flat, averaging 650ft/lbs on only 5lbs of boost. This engine made 727 peak hp at 6400 rpms with no drop off except we ran out of fuel and had to shut it down. The new blower makes a big difference.

Seems like 500/500 is a general trend with maggies.

a kenne bell would be way better. if this is a street car i'd go with a Procharger or turbo setup, you will already have nice low end Tq from the stroker and it would be alot easier to hook up. And maggies are known to have heat soak problems and make your engine run hotter cause its bolted to the engine, so that could be an issue for you aswell.

with properly selected cam and heads, I get 655rwhp out of a 122, on an LS1
gobs of torque, at ALL RPM's

But, with the TVS's coming around, id go with one of them before a 112 or 122

with a 112 on a 383, expect somewhere between 550-600, depending on other factors
