Default 9-25-03... Dynoing Dragula next week

FYI we will be dynoing the car next week.

I have to change the plugs (TR8's, @ .025) on Sunday and get it ready for the dyno session.

We could not dyno this week due to scheduling and everyone being busy.

We will be dyoing with VP C16.

Awesome, cant wait to see the dyno numbers!!!

Do you by chance have a running cost total of the build up?! Would be interesting to see the total cost of a FI car done the right way.

I'll guesstimate 640 rwhp after tuning. Anything over 600 rwhp would be nice though.

Looks like Kevin Z. has broken the sacred rule of asking how much performance parts cost.

I am hoping for over 650rwhp, that would tell me that the car is headed in the right direction.

Not sure how loose the converter will be.

DOH!!

Do I have to put my nose in the corner for breaking the sacred rule!

I cant help it, I am addicted to this stuff!!
My baby was in a car wreck and my shoulder got mess up bad enough to have surgery next week. So I am planning on having some money to mod my baby when its all said and done with.

I'm looking to split Rob Raymer and Harlan's wigs from ding to dong with Dragula so instead of a 10 psi setup I went to 20 psi.

I have a turbo 400 now so I do not have lockup. But we can guesstimate off of the torque too... If the torque is around 700 ft lbs that would be great.

We're not sure the TR6's will like 20 psi, so I got a set of TR8's which was Znines' idea. (Chris from SS Racing)

Can't wait to see how it all turns out John, my beast should be on the dyno tomorrow, so maybe I will have some interesting #'s to post before the weekend..

Good luck, maybe I might stop by to watch the whole process and snap a few photos...

I have a feeling you might overpower the converter but it will be interesting to see Are you running on a dynojet or Mustang?

I always herd you should aim low when trying to determin what kind of numbers your hoping to lay down. Always hopes to keep disapointment down.

You dont think that th-400 is going to suck up too much h/p?. I know they take alot of h/p to operate but I know also there pretty much bullit proof.

The TH400's eat up A LOT of power, especially when you put down a lot...

I would say its close to a 30% loss....

im curious about your plugs too, are the TR8s colder then Tr6's? .025 gap, will you get enough spark?

Also curious about your plug choice.

Should I be using TR6's for a 10# S-Trim?
Targeting 575rwhp, H/C setup, 9.4:1.

Yeah I have never run TR8's before but I never had potentially 18-22 lbs of boost either.

We'll see what happens on the dyno.

Chris, if the converter flashes to 5500 or below I'm happy.
