Safe boost with front mount?

Default Safe boost with front mount?

What's the most boost a sane person with 9:1 compression? I have the EPP front mount and am going to try to get the boost up to 15 on my D1SC.


Also on 91 octane

Having a front mount intercooler won't matter when it comes to 'safe boost' really. Yes, the front mount will make for a cooler more dense charge, but what it's going to boil down to is what octane gas you're running and how much timing is in it. If you're wanting to run that much boost at that compression, I'd think you'd have to pull a considerable amount of timing to compensate for the lack of octane (that is if you're planning on running pump gas).

Pump is all I would run. I've been looking at the Snow Performance meth kits so it looks like I better start saving

On 91 octane and 15 psi I dont think the setup will last long. Def need higher octane or a meth/alky injection kit. Even then id be cautious.

Yeah I was looking at one of their safe injection systems that pulls timing and bleeds boost if it doesn't go right. My problem with race gas is the fact that the car gets driven quite a bit and last time I checked it was around $5 a gallon for race gas so that would get quite pricey.

Most race gas is about double that!

9:1 compression with 15lbs and methanol assuming your parts can handle it should be a cake walk. Without the meth you should still be OK if tuned well.

I ran 15 #'s at 9.5 to 1 on 91 octane (no meth). Never had problems once I put mls head gaskets and studs.
