Always great hearing good reviews about stuff.

About how much does it cost?

Good to hear Zombie. Wondering if this means that you are deciding to give up some streetability to find more ET? I know your car was very street friendly with the tight verter th400 and gear gear choice. Decide to steer more away from being completely streetable or was this not that big of a sacrifice?

Am I the only one that is reading where he said it was MORE streetable?

Ah, nope, there it is.

You must be talking about the Gallina/Freeman car (6.9 sec 6 cyl), pretty bad *** setup on that one. Just about 90% of the Buick guys out here run a PTC converter. It is amazing how much better they are than a lot of other companies. I've got a buddy that was running 10.1x's and instantly dropped down to 9.5x's with just a PTC converter change. They had it too tight on the first go around and re-stalled it and the car really woke up.

I was simply stating that your old converter by YOUR word's, you said it was tighter and would move idleing. that to me is more along the lines of a stock style converter with a little stall. Not what you have now!

I don't know where you guys are getting that the PTC is less streetable than the Vig. Driving around the PTC converter is tighter! It is more streetable even though it stalls 700 rpms more.

It moves the car at idle just like the vig, but is tighter driving around. This converter is absolutely amazing in that it can be really loose on the trans brake or foot brake and tighter than a 2800 stall driving around. They should paint a picture of a freakin unicorn on this thing it's that good.

Nice!

I am glad I decided on a PTC as well, as it sounds like I will be happy with it on the street.
The manners are exactly what I was after, nice and tight around town but responsive of the t-brake.

Good luck Zombie, keep us posted!

So wait, let me get this straight: You're saying the PTC convertor is more streetable than the Vig? I'm confused.

Oh, and "I don't wanna sound like a queer or anything but I think unicorns are kick-***".
