I have an 01 ls1 and am wanting to supercharge it. I have found two systems I like. I am wondering which would be better for my purposes. I am planning on keeping my car and not rebuilding the motor or anything for big boost, just wanting a blower that will make noise and add some power for my dd fun. I have a few bolt-ons already and am going to add a 3600 stall. I was wondering what maybe you guys thought.
What exactly is involved with installing a supercharger? What would I need to watch for once it is installed? What might be some common problems associated with installing one? Any advice is appreciated.

Well maybe I'm losing it, but I saw last night that whipple has a kit for the ls1/ls2/ls6. Procharger is definitely an option, and a magnacharger is also an option but I have a question, which would be the most efficient for daily driving? I don't figure a whipple is going to fit under my hood though.

Personally, I would never buy a Magnacharger. It's a great blower for daily driving, but it doesn't have much potential if you ever want to make real power.

I'm still debating, I like superchargers cuz there is minimal lag in the boost, but I like turbos as well. Which do you guys think would be better for daily driving? And, what setup would you recommend?

i would go with the aps twin turbo kit if you are worried about lag or the tti kit. i am in the process of getting one. superchargers steal allot more power from you engine then turbos do. turbos just make a slight restriction in you exhaust. also you can get something called anti lag, this works buy dumping allot of fuel in to the engine to keep the turbo spooled at all time. it is allot more complicated then that, but that is the basic idea. and i have never seen any camaro guys running anti lag. maybe it is not necessary because most of the camaros are used for drag racing and not road racing. good luck

there is a trans am with a 3.4 whipple on a stock cube ls2 with supporting mods, blower cam, afr 225 heads...
first run with out any dialing in anything was a 8.3 at 163mph
