What heads do you have?? Guessing you have a fmic too?? Do you normally see 16lbs and now your at 17-18lbs?? I am no tuning expert but I would think since you are not seeing any knock that of course is good.

Sounds like an awesome combo! Can you post a dyno graph? As long as you have the right octane and your IAT are in line everything looks good.

Haven't you been running that much for a while now? I'd assume that you would be fine since your forged and running meth.

I would love to see what numbers you put out with this thing or some track times.

what is your CR ratio ? if you want to be safe buy some lq9 heads. they are 72cc combustion chamber and they will lower the CR. also the bigger combustion chamber will prevent knock.

We've never seen more than 16 psi with a D-1SC, but since you have stock 241 heads that could give you enough restriction to increase the boost. Do your twin intercoolers feel pretty hot after you make a pass with it? I've seen them get pretty hot after 14 psi, your methanol will help but I'd still be careful with it. Bob

I agree with bob on the boost psi. I knew those had to be stock heads or near it to be making 18lbs from a D1SC. That or you were not running a intercooler and just tubing from the charger to the TB, lol.

Curious to see what your pulley combo is and the RPM your reving it too. That way we can actually see how hard your reving the blower. PSI is not an accurate way of measuring how hard a blower is working, since it changes with different setups. Impeller speed can give a lot of info.

7.25 crank pulley/ 3.4 blower pulley.....spinning to 6800 9.5 to 1 compression
Spinning blower to 59,450 (max on d1sc is 62000)

Iat is always at ambient or below when meth is spraying....(3psi and up)

Alkycontrol is maxed out and its tuned for that amount of meth.....which is why we are running it richer. (stoich on meth is like 9.x to 1 or something) and I am spraying all meth....no water

I have been running 16psi for awhile and noticed my plenum box was not flat on top when I took it off to install 9" spal fan......turns out the metal box got blown out like a ballon slightly and tore a 2" crack in it

I fixed the plenum box and welded in 2 aluminum supports that go from the top to the bottom of the box for added strength and fixed the leak.

I talked to my tuner Steve previously about what if it makes more than 16psi and he didn't seem to comfortable with it unless I ran race gas.

I will talk to Steve and try an figure out whats the best thing to do, but wanted to get some other opinions /info..........I have a local guy that can port my heads and intake for a decent price.....just was enjoying the car working for now.

Are you pushing any water?

How much methanol are you spraying? How long does your reservior last given normal driving conditions>

Any idea what you should be putting to the wheels?

Hey guys.

The car makes 15.5-16psi on warmer days... It's SD and at the end of his 2bar MAP. This situation isn't entirely unplanned for, and was left left slightly rich up at the top. The Alkycontrol kit is cranked and IATs are fine with it. The car is running TR7s. No sign of knock on the logs, heard by ear, or showing on the plugs.

I don't think he needs to pulley down; maybe just short shift on the colder days

You can run the car with that much boost if the tune is right-which it is since it isn't blown up yet.
The only risk you have is lifting the heads which it probly is already.
Forget reading the KR sensors with that boost level.

yea....today was warmer out today.....close to 70 and I hit it a few times and boost is a solid 16psi......so the cold dense air was making the extra pound or two of boost, so Frost and I will check the tune since I fixed the plenum box leak........and maybe over the summer I will do something about the stock heads

I am 99% sure I have not pushed any water.....I have been checking the coolant level alot and have been changing the oil more frequently than needed and have not seen any signs of the heads lifting
