You can cut the plate where it is in the way of the exhaust. There are several factory manifolds for different cars that exit at all different directions.

there are noticeable differences with car and truck manifolds but everyone uses truck manifolds because they are the only ones that will FIT correctly when you flip them forward for a turbo setup. There are C6 Corvette/LS3 manifolds that might work and alot of others but you just have to experiment and pick what is right for you. Manifolds that DO NOT FIT in an fbody for a turbo setup are C5 manifolds in any direction, fbody units flipped forward are a no go, GTO units dont either, and many others. Thats all the info i know so far, use the search button for guys using motor plates there are a bunch of them. The only thing i can tell you is tyour best bet is to start fabricating stuff and make things fit however you can. Sometimes making something fit require you to re-do the previous three things you thought you modified correctly so just be aware of everything when you're building you setup. Oh and good luck!

LS1 fbody manifolds WON'T WORK for a turbo setup period man, thats the only difference, they probably flow close to the same but who cares, they still dont fit lol Truck manifold turbo setups have been taken to 1000hp and have gone 8 seconds so they work thats all you need to know pretty much. Find some way around that motor plate issue you have, truck manifolds are the way to go for sure!

Umm Rice eater had a 99 manifold (normal direction) on the passenger side and a flipped 98 manifold on the drivers side....

I was one of the 1st truck manifold set-ups 4 years ago. Fastest on the twin T67's was 8.98 at 150+. Switching to a 106MM set-up. Still in the works..looking for 1500+rwhp and 7's. Here's a picture of the mock up. Same truck manifolds from 4 years ago.

I have went 154 on 6.0 truck manifolds with pump gas. I bet you can get into the 7's on them but I would suggest tubular manifolds if you are looking for quicker than lets say 8.20. I just pulled that number out of my butt but give or take 2th's. I feel we could go a little farther without pushing water with a little less back pressure compared to truck manifolds. Since you are looking for 1000whp truck manifolds all the way.

If you dont care about loosing the AC, Truck manifolds are the only way to go. Cheap, will support more power than 99.9% will ever want, easy installation compare to other kits which mean easy maintance when you need to replace something and you dont have to drop the motor out to get to it.
