Default procharger SC

Are there any negative issues with procharger SCs? It seems like All of the big name's (ECS, A &A, etc) are running paxton, vortec etc. How are prochargers on C5s?
Thanks

its not the head units, it the brackets. I think A&A used to use ProChargers, but got in a tiff over the brackets. Do a search for C5 stuff, its out there

I still prefer the Prochargers over the other 2.We've done a ton of C5's with them.

Prochargers are very reliable and proven. No reason to not consider them.

I have a H/C car with ALL the bolt ons, making 414 rwhp with TC unlocked. I guess I was wondering if adding the P1SC-1 would be a good fit. I have a 224 cams with Dart heads at 10.8, and I don't want to swap out heads. I would like to see around 550rwhp at around 6psi, but didn't know how well my trans or stock bottom end would handle it. I NEVER go to the track anymore, so it is just a street setup.

It will make 550 easy & be very drivable with a good tune. I made those numbers with a 01 ls6....Made hundreds of passes..high 10's...& drove 20,000 + miles & never had a valve cover off. That was with a 01 ZO6

Bob, I always truly enjoy going through your builds. You guys do awesome work, and someone there knows how to run the camera nicely. I show your builds off every chance I get to fellow military type folk.

Thanks, we appreciate it. I do the camera and website stuff myself. I use to be in charge of a group of guys in an engineering department in a former life, where we took pic's and created installation manuals, and I enjoy doing the website stuff. Bob

Most of the daily driven supercharged C5's that I see are procharged. I have a Vortech SQ Trim with a very conservative tune and love it but hate it when I have to deal with a belt issue..I know that A&A has designed brackets to improve the original Vortech set up but I really like the Pro Chargers.

Be careful with a used unit.

The forum member I'm buying it from said he had had purchased it with 6000 miles on it (never installed it himself because he went stroked, H/C route) said he took it to his shop, that is a procharger vendor, and had it checked out and it was good to go. Is there anything I need to look for when I get it?

Call ATI (1-913-338-2886) with the serial # and find out who the unit was sold to from them and then just check the history of it.
