1000rwhp on the street is good. Not sure what is "too much" as I havn't experienced that yet.
Correct, no need to spend anywhere near 2k, and they are rebuildable items so you shouldn't ever have to pay near full price again. If you want to make the power and drive it on the street, you have to pay to play. Single disks in general won't hold as much power nor will they be as drivable.

still need a mini tub, sra, frame stiffners, suspension, MT slicks, tranny, diff, twin walbro. My twins are good for 1000hp but its all the supporting stuff i need first before i can crank it up. I just got the block done & that was about 4k on top of my tt kit lol ...I think it will give me sumthing to look fwd to down the road so i dont get bored with this car. I just need to learn how to drive the 600whp im at now. Alot of ppl i kno that wreak their cars is because they gained to much power before they had enough seat time w/ it
