C5s do not have the same problem as the motor is not tucked as far back, there is no cowl issues.

i just wish a reputable shop would just test these out on the dyno, maybe with 2-3 different size motors n/a and f/i with no other changes. it seems the carb style manifold debate goes on and on with no reliable dependable real world evidence on what is its best application. Ive read so many of these threads and I still have my Edelbrock sitting in my garage, and i have tried two different elbows, but I dont have any evidence to take my ls6 manifold out.

Silver Trans AM, how's that intake coming along? Your car is NA right? Down the road I was looking into running that setup but with the medium profile elbow.

Intake is on the car, but having other issues right now.
My car is turbo charged.

So far i dont notice any difference at all other than a smoother idle now. Like I said I am having a misfire issue can not test fully yet, think i burned a plug.

If you've got a stall in the car, it could be causing your misfire code. The behavior of a looser converter makes the PCM think there's a misfire. I've read you may just have to disable the code, sometimes it won't go away even with tuning for the stall. There is also a test you can disable under the diagnostics.

For what it's worth, here's the "low profile" version sitting in my car. I know, most everyone is wanting to run their's forward, but it's another look at a different elbow anyways?

Did you put the elbow on the intake before, or after you installed the intake on the motor?

It's on the polyurethane stock mounts right now, but i am going to a motor plate. It's REALLY close to the cowl, but we wanted it that way. It should not touch with the plate installed.

I put the intake on, then slid on the elbow/tb from the side. It's a real tight fit, but it fits clean once it's in there.

With how my cowl is, it wouldn't fit that way. The TB and elbow have a....1/2 lip on the top of them. this would not fit under the cowl on mine when reversed how i run it. Why is that such a concern for you? I personally would rather be able to pull the elbow on/off with the intake in place than have to take the whole thing off to get the elbow off?

cause I tried to put the intake on with the elbow already attached and it would not fit... So i am not sure if it is my motor mounts, cause I run solid motor mounts... I have not tried to put it back on with out the elbow on it I just have not had time...

gotcha,

it may very well be your motor mounts then. is your setup lie mine or Silver Trans Am's?

are you running low or ultra-low profile? Are you running it forward or reverse?
