Silver I also want to know how you did it!
Had to put the elbow on the intake first to get it in, due to how long the studs are on the intake.

Mine is just like Silvers, And silver that is not a good sine for me.... I guess I will try to put the studds in after I put the intake on and try to line them up that way... Other wise it is time to get the cutting tool out

I guess I could ask you guys also..... How in the hell did you get your aftermarket rails bolted to the intake... Cause my bolt holes are no where near where they need to be... I see your not using the edelbrock rails, so what did you do

I made some shitty brackets out of some aluminum strips I got at lowes.
I say shitty because they dont look good to me but they are stiff and hold just fine. After it was all together though you cant even see it unless you look hard. I will get a pic soon as well.

Why cant you just take the intake off and put it together then put it on as one piece?

Thanks on the rails... A pic would be nice so I can kinda see what you used...

On the Intake That is originally how I tried to put it on. What is happening is that the elbow hits underneath the cowl and does not allow it to go under cause it gets stuck... I am sure that this has a lot to do with the solid motor mounts. I have heard that they do raise the motor up. No one was able to confirm that, but it must, cause I do not have the clearnce that you have!

I bought the edelbrock rails. They are so cheap, and look great, so i pulled the trigger.

they were not big enough that Is why i went with a different rail... They only have 3/8 npt threads.. I got some that had 3/4 just to be safe... I would rather have to much fuel then not enough.

3/8" NPT is plenty big. The inside of a 3/8" NPT fitting is about the same size as an -8AN ID. The rails are probably rated at 1000hp PER RAIL, which is why Nasty Perf rates his rail kits at 2000hp.

3/4" NPT is the same as on a garden hose lol.

I really like these elbows and Summit has them in stock just 5 min from my house which also helps. I have the high flow elbow on my L92 GMMP intake and also picked up there coil covers. I dont think I will have any restricion problem and the high flow elbow also has a divider. Everything is on and running but the coil covers Im waiting on LS2 low profile coils to get here my truck coils will not fit.

Do you have any pictures with those covers installed? I'm curious to see how these look. Also, how much did they cost?

They just cover the valve covers and they are 250? I think I'd rather have the chevy valve covers. They look like a nice piece though, it sets the motor off with the matching elbow. I absolutely hate the rail covers.

You have to take the coils and brackets off the valve cover and bolt the individual coil packs without the bracket to the under side of the covers and then bolt them to the valve covers. I have re-wired every thing on the top of the motor to be hidden by the covers so very little wiring will be seen.
