Wideband not working

I asked in the tuning and diagnostics section with not 1 response. Its an AEM UEGO. I have the power wire for it and my electric fuel press gauge T-ed into the 10 amp ignition wire in the fuse box by the steering wheel. The fuel press. gauge works, but the wide isn't even flashing on for a sec. I don't have the sensor in the exhaust. Does it need a signal from the sensor to display anything? I thought that it would at least show zero. I went back N/A and never used it, but I do want to make sure that it does work before I sell it.

I'll prob. screw it into the driver side header tomarrow just for the hell of it.

What is your ground hooked too?. I would run it down lower where the Y in the Y-pipe comes together.

It's grounded to the metal under the A-piller with my other gauges.

I'm running an ORY so the O2 bung in my LT's is it.

It does not need the sensor to display. If you have it tee'd good and the other gauge works then there has to be something wrong with your wideband, connection at it, or your ground.

Does your wideband, come with a little red button and light like the Innovatives? Mine does and i have yet to install it, so i just wanted to see if that would cause a problem or if that thing is even needed.

No, it's just the gauge and sensor.

I'll pull the a-piller aprt first tomarrow and check the connectors on the back of it. Hopefully they just came loose when I was feeding it through the dash.
