Spray meth before the intercooler?

huh, this stuff is makeing me a believer in the meth. i might have to go with the meth over the FMIC on my build.

Imagine 70* boost before it even hits the intercooler
If discharge temp ended up that low, you probably wouldn't want an air to air IC. If it was warmer than 70 outside, the IC would transfer heat into the air while still being an intake restriction.

Any cons to spraying pre-compressor? Increased impeller erosion, slower spool (mass of liquid added), slower peak impeller speed (turbo), increased transmission & belt load (blower), increased load on impeller possible exceeding design limitations?

Not sure how significant any of that would be. Has it been considered?

Is there a place in the front half of the car to mount a tank? Also does water/methanol injection add horsepower or is it the advance in timing that gives the power increase?

i have a harrop pd on top of my ls3 IT HAS A water to air INTERCOOLER mounted underneath it in the manifold
if i spray 50/50 water meth in to the throttle body
it could damage the water to air inter cooler
and leak water in to the engine
im i wright in assuming this

Consider the lowest temp possible to achieve with the Meth and intercooler.

The Methanol can easily cool the boost to sub-ambient temps.
The intercooler will be limited to cooling to ambient temps.

So, you can use the intercooler to get the boost to approach ambient, THEN spray in the Meth to get the boost sub-ambient.

On my car, I was getting IAT's 10 - 20 deg colder than ambient at 20+ psi boost. Had I put an intercooler after the Meth, it would have been actually adding heat to the boost.

When we were data logging my car on the dyno at CMS the IAT's were around 88* give or take on a high 60* night. Thats the D1 with a 3.70 pulley through a big 31x12x4 intercooler. Once we started spraying meth we saw a IAT decrease into the high 30* range. I think on average it was around 37-38*. The nice thing was that it was very consistant run after run.

How much of a problem is then to run aluminum charge piping after the intercooler if you have it plumbled post intercooler? would stainless steel be the better route? Only problem then is finding a stainless steel tail 50mm weldable flange.
