I don't think this unit has given up the ghost just yet, I think it has a few more pounds left to give in it.. I suppose if this weather clears up I will be able to find out!

Yeah we didn't even have the Eboost hardly awake yet. A little more time, and we should be able to see what we can get out of it.

What is the rest of the setup? How well do the heads flow, displacement, and what bottom end pieces are in it. I think that would give a better comparative general idea of how hard this engine is working.

^ Those are definetly nice results then. It wouldn't be as impressive if you were running a 396, solid roller, AFR raised runner head, etc... I'm guessing not, but is that on the stock crank? If not why did you go with a forged stock size crank over a 3.75 piece?

because I had my pistons custom built to my design criteria to be as strong as they could be and adding a .25" of stroke pushes the ring pack to close to the crown of the piston.. besides what is another 28 cubes gonna do that a pound of boost can't make up?.. I'll take the stronger piston anyday!

Hey shouldn't you be working?
I am getting ready to leave the shop, and head to Leland, I will meet you at the house around 7:15. Did you get a chance to take a look at the catch cans on the shelf?

here is the graph for the dyno runs. sorry it took so long, after Friday nights incident with the turbo breaking I was not in the mood to post up but I suppose I will be sending it back to see what precision can do to repair/replace it.

here is the graph though.. it at least still makes me happy!

Me and another guy in Mn both made 1100 rwhp with Lt1'S. But the thing is the block shifts around too much and you wear out bearings super fast......so i'm done redoing a motor every 3-4 months......so i'm going to a SBC....but I think a 900rwhp lt1 will last a whole summer....

what size motors were you running? I specifically chose to stay in the small 355cid range for side loading issues and to relieve some stress on the mains from side loading the pistons, as well as to leave as much meat in the bores as possible to maintain some block integrity. The other reason was to beef up the piston design and keep everything alive. I have seen too many large cube motors go down in flames in the LTx base model at high horsepower number due to the stroke of the crank or the piston pin being too far up into the ringland area making the top land a weak point.

give some details on your builds, I am genuinely curious
