Blower install time? I've got a question in reguards to a task that I will be doing in the near future. 
My question is for you who have installed a new Vortech {v-9 sq g- trim} how long does this job generally take? And will it run ok untill I can get it programed?

with the V9's tune, and injectors, and pump, you shoudl be fine.
BUT it is always reccomended to get a real dynotune, or at least a dyno run to verify the AF before beating on it.

Re: Blower install time? Your kit should come with a Hand Held SuperChips Tuner. I used mine as a temporary measure until I could get my car to a professional with a Dynotune. IMHO this is neccessary to even get your car running because of the larger Injectors that come with the V9 Kit. Anyhow, with this programming installed my DynoTuner made a baseline pull and surprisingly the A/F ratio was a 11.0 :1 - 11.5:1 range. The timing was a mess though.
Anyhow, use the Superchips tuning to get your car running normal so that you can drive it. Don't assume the programming is going to be perfect for your car.. You never know.. Don't beat on it hard until you get to a Dynotune.

Re: Blower install time? Surprisingly the PCM tuning supplied by Vortech via the superchips tuner was very good on my car. It dynoed 446 RWHP with the only other mods being the "free mod" on the airbox and replacing the muffler with 3" pipe.
In the same session we placed the Spectacle Solutions prototype lid on it and got 463 RWHP and 432 RWTQ. A/F was real good throughout.
