Default what machine work to get done

im building a turbo motor on a budget here. so far i have an lq4 with 317 heads. no idea how many miles on the motor but the cylinders still have noticable crosshatching here. the motor was never taken apart before and is in great condition. what would u guys suggest i get done on this motor before replacing the rods and pistions. atleast a hone from the machine shop? or .0005 over. should i get it balanced? someone also mentioned that i should deffinetly get the crank knife edged. what would u guys do here?

how much power you plan on pushing?

line bore/hone, truing up the decks, honing with a torque plate at a minimum...

Forged pistons, (dished to give desired compression ratio) a good set of rods with ARP bolts, balance rotating assembly, ARP mains stud kit, ARP head stud kit, double row timing chain, molly push rods, dbl valve springs, GM MLS head gaskets, and maybe an SLP oil pump for a bit of extra insurance .

its any LSx type of thing...at higher power levels the caps can walk around...pinning keeps that from happening.

Have to get it balanced or it will rip it self apart. knife edging not worth the money if being built low cash
