Default What boost controller? AMS-500 or E-Boost 2?

What boost controller should I get for a APS TT street car? The AMS-500 or E-Boost 2? I have seen the eboost's gauge where you control everything but how do you control the AMS? I want something simple. I want to drive around on one boost setting (800rwhp) and if I have to, I just turn it up the boost (950+rwhp). I would like something accurate. What are the pros/cons between the two? If there are other choices please let me know.

literally takes a push of a button w/ the e boost to add or take away 100hp or whatever you previously set it for... you can put in 6 settings. i have no experience w/ the ams but i like the e boost 2

are there any boost controllers that hold different tunes as well as the boost level for it? i just cant see changing boost levels with out retuning the car to get it to run right and have the correct a/f ratio

if the cars tuned right it'll take care of the afr as long as you dont peg the map, and you can run it on a 3 bar os (up to 29 psi) for 99+ cars, i dont know about 98

i have eboost 2, takes a little reading to operate it but works great after you figure it out

The ams look neat but couldn't figure out where to put the controller. The eboost fits right into my ta center vent. But not sure where guys put them in their camaros.

AMS-500 Here, you can run 3 stages with it your wastegate, stage 1 or stage 2. You can activate the different stages with a toggle which is what I do... I have my gate (8psi) Stage 1 (12psi) and Stage 2 (16psi)
The stage 2 on the controller also has an adjustable ramp rate from 1psi per second all the way to 40psi per second or unlimited.

I find that I run the stage 2 control at 2psi per second and leave off the waste gate then activate stage 2 it keeps the truck hooked with a little slower build up on the boost.

The data logs show excellent control they look as if they were drawn with a ruler most of the time.

Thats my AMS-500 plug for today LOL... But serious, I have this controller and I love it.
Another big plus for the AMS... Closed loop boost control, it monitors the pressure on the top of the gate. Its not just a set duty cycle to one solenoid... There is an increase and a decrease solenoid and the brain in the AMS is always shooting for 0.1psi of the target pressure.

NLR's boost controllers are the best electronic controllers on the market. Hands down. They're also a sponsor on these forums.

You may want to look at the Exile Turbo MSBC-1 boost controller. Just about every serious local GN guy runs one without any problems at all. They are extremely accurate and simple to use. I'm getting ready to buy one for my twin turbo Mustang build.

I see the e-boost2 is a digital gauge and you can mount it and it looks good. How do you control the ams or where would you mount it. It does not have a digtal gauge just some ugly box. Right?

I like the eboost 2. Rock steady boost control and a lot of nice features.

The innovative/exile controller works but sometimes gets into a rollercoaster pattern hunting for the correct boost level. EB2 in my experience is much more stable.
