Default Running out of fuel (I think)

Hey guys I have a boosted LT4 camaro. It is a T70, I have an upgraded pump and 60lb injectors. It seems to cut out in the high rpms and spike lean when its at 12-14 psi. Im assuming this is because I still have the stock fuel pressure regulator. Any input would be great. Also, if I am buying a fuel pressure regulator should I buy one for an f-body or the one for the corvette because I have the LT4 corvette motor? thanks.

I would say get a FPR for boost. It wouldn't know if it was on a hyundai.LOL
What type of fuel pump are you running. You will need a fuel pump that is able to keep up with the 1-1 rise in boost/fuel pressure.

Well thunder racing sells a different one for the corvette lt4 than for a 94-97 f-body. Wasn't sure what the biggest difference was there?

I thought you were just going to buy a external mount fpr and run the lines to the rails. If they make one to work with your LT4 then I would go that route.

What pump do you have? That's another key thing. The front mounted FPR is probably necessary (I'm needing one myself), but if the pump can't keep up, it won't solve your problem.

It has a walbro 255. Im considering changing because the access hole is already cut so its easy but not sure what is a good pump.

I would use a Bosch 044 fuel pump. They are rated for 7-750hp each and are not to terribly expensive.

I'm out of fuel at 5,100 rpms with a walbro 255 and a hot wire kit. Even with a KB boost a pump I'm still loosing fuel pressure at 5,500 rpms @10-12#'s of boost. Going with a dual pump setup from lonnie in a week or two. http://www.lonniesperformance.com/

You probably need a dual pump setup more than a FPR. Easiest way to tell is to install a fuel pressure gauge and see if the pressure drops. A single High pressure Walbro 255 is good for around 700 HP at the crank.
