this car sucks
and for future reference timmy, your turbo can legally be considered a muffler, since it does actually make the car quieter... that's how the diesel guys get away without running mufflers. at least that's the loophole we use up here in pa.

OK time for an Update! Both Tim and I have been stupid busy in our personal lifes and havent been able to give it the attention it needs to finish up the last little odds and ends. Brad with Carma Performance here in nashville has been friends with tim forever and stepped up to tackle making the new watertank with relocating the trans cooler inside, installed the fire supression system, make a new alternator mount and is picking up any leftover wiring. We got it on the dyno on monday to check out everything and see what it would do with just the WG spring, no boost controller yet. The WG opened up at about 6lbs and boost crept to about ~7PSI. We will have everything buttoned up tomorrow with test passes going down on Sat! We are going to limit the boost to about 15-18PSI and see just how hard its gonna be to get these 275 DR to hook up...

Got it back on the dyno to check to see if the XFI could control boost and it was a bust... We have it plumbed like the pic below and with a 40% dudty cycle entered it went from 6.5# on the spring to 8.5# but it would drop off back to the spring pressure almost right away. it would flutter around at 6-7lbs but never get any higher. When it hit 8.5lbs it put down 680 so we are moving in the right direction. I know we are DEF going to be getting an AMS 1000 but we were hoping we could use the XFI boost control features to test out the rest of the car...
Also got the Tbrake and XFI 2-step wired up. We had some back feed issues on the 2 step when wired into the switched ground side of the Tbrake relay but a diode solved that and they work perfectly off the shifter button.

Well it was a very successful test and tune. Right off the trailer it 1.41 60' on 275's ran a 6.2 in the 1/8th, shut down before the 1/4, the second pass was a bust tire pressure was around 21lbs and it blew em off. Dropped it back to 19lbs on the third and final pass and ran a 9.83 @ 134 with a 1.41 60' on 7lbs of boost. Race weight was 3640.. The goal from the beginning was to run a 9.99 on a 275 and we did that on less than half the boost we plan on running on our first outing We have a couple issues to iron out but as of right now nothing that will keep us away from the shootout. Its been a long road for just a couple guys in the backyard and its far from being the fastest but its a SOLID start and feels amazing to be back at the track with it.
