Default Rear Mount Guys

Ok exhaust pipe that goes over the axle broke completely so got tired of old setup so decided to take headers(MAC Mids) and the OFY and put my stock manifolds on along with an OFY and new I pipe to turbo. Now the exhaust tone is alot louder and raspier. What are some of you rear-mount guys exhaust setups like and is this just how its going to be or is there a solution?

I do...but it's a GTO.

Never had anything but manifolds...I miss how the car sounded with LT's and full exhaust...but the performance gains were worth the tradeoff.

Simple I have a magnaflow bullet in the I pipe Killed all the rasp I have manafolds on mine also and 4.5 inch exhaust pipe. You can hear the turbo spool a block away and on the highway I get told it sounds like a airplane.

Bullet muffler definitely tones it down. I'm running 4" after exhaust and it sounds much better and quieter with the bullet.

I did similar with a 3" resonator in the I-pipe.

I am running a Borla XR-1 oval. The tone is fine, but the muffler is too big. I have a Moroso spiral bullet on order which may do the trick and not be too big.

Yes it is louder and raspier very annoying. When I get out of the car my ears are ringing.
