I think it'll work just fine. There's a shop in Jacksonville that has a ford gtg with the stock blower, two gt35 turbos, no intercooler but the stock one and makes 1100rwhp. He originally had a sheetmetal manifold ford it in place of the blower but tried using the stock blower and the under the curve gains are retarded. When I get home I'll try to find some graphs (on my iPhone). It feels slower but I think it's because there's no massive spike in power not tomention loss of traction at 70mph haha

I guess they are 1.32A/R. Here are the two styles-they need a sandblasting, and those cut off bolts usually come off not bad by welding a nut on and heating it a bit. I have welded flanges on the indented style without a problem.

nice setup mate! deff think the 88 will be better than the 76. however i would have also put an intercooler before the SC. i have heard the MINI gusy having problems with the blowers and high IAT when they run no intercooler before the blower. still nice setup and it will be very intresting to see the results!

Time for an UPDATE!!!!

Well, It's together and RUNNING! still have a bunch of tuning to do, don't have the intercooler pump hooked up or coolant in it yet, but had to take it for a drive today. Needs a LOT of tuning, as it's way lean, which is a good thing right? Just made a couple quick runs and added fuel to make it safe for now, but this thing build boost FAST! Don't take long at all to get to 10 psi with just a 3.3" pulley and a 7psi spring in the gate.

The TB adapter didn't end up working, so I had to break down and by a Edelbrock 90mm TB. That in it's self was a pain, as I had to redo my throttle cable bracket and cold pipe as well as get another silicone adapter cuz it has a 4 1/2 inlet. I really think I'm gonna need to put a lot bigger turbo on it to really see the benefit of it though. I think I'm gonna have a little boost creep with this little turbo and 38mm WG. I have a 50mm WG, I can put on it shortly, but I'm thinking I'm gonna need a PT88 if I can find one cheap, since I have no idea when MP's 88 is gonna be done. Soon as I get the TVS intercooler finished up and the tune a lot better, I'll see if I can a vid made.

Here is the pics

That's MPT76 and that's another option too... Cost wise and airflow wise 2 of them are about the same as a new PT88, but a LOT more fabrication work. Would be cool though

Drove it a little more last night and still needs a lot of tuning, but it goes strait to 10 PSI with only a 3.3 pulley on the blower with NO lag.

To me it seems like it would have been better to focus on the turbo system. I would have coated and wrapped everything, added a two step with retard, and a quick spool valve.....maybe 1000$ total to get the same out come maybe better.

I dont know why you would want it to come on so quick anyways, it isnt like it could hook well enough to use a good turbo only set up anyways. If you make to much down low, esspecially in a truck, all that power and money is just gonna be tire smoke in the end.

And I actually have a compound truck.........deisel ofcourse.

Well, I could have just put N2O on it and got the same effect, but what fun is that? Traction is not a problem, that's what the 4x4 button to the left of the steering wheel is for . Sitting at stop light on the 2 step to build boost is not very sneaky, now stomping it from an idle and handing the Corvette next to me his ***, that what it's all about! . No way you could get a turbo only setup to spool the way this thing is now.

that is awesome, buddy. I give you vredit for trying something diffferent, and sticking with it in the face of so many nay-saying.

.... and here i am dreaming of a measly 1 FI method (a supercharger), and you show up rocking compound boost! I am jealous, in a good way.

Awesome project! Does the charge side just go down one side and up the other and back across? Is there not enough room to go stright to the blower or maybe a U bend so theres room for the BOV?

There is an a/a intercooler down there
Every one said this would do nothing but make heat, and I don't even have water in the blower intercooler yet and the most I've seen for IATs with 10 psi of boost is 125* and it was in the 60's here today... Just think how it will be with having a functional intercooler I can put Ice in...

congrats mate! REALLY nice setup there! and im soooooo glad you fitted the A2A to. it will make a big difference. i was would love to see some data logs for this thing. be really intresting to see how fast that turbo would come on.

Keep us posted!

Chris.

PS how much boost is the blower alone making? it would be nice to see some logs for presure before the SC. then you could compare to a 'similar' turbop only setup to see just how much difference the SC is making.
