Default Lunati Pro Billet rods

I'm sure some of you guys running FI are using these rods. What are your thoughts? I just picked up a set that I couldn't pass up. Would love to hear what you guys think of these things? This is directed PRIMARILY at people running FI!

That's crazy. What's even more crazy is I only spent $458 with shipping on them, lol. No reserve, no model number listed, but know what length, big end, pin, etc I needed for my app and picked them up. Just sold a set of Lunati pro mods I was going to use in the 408 to get a set of new H-beams, but couldn't pass this deal up. =) Thanks for the quick responses fellas! Hope they work for me as good as all of you!

BTW - I want to make somewhere in the range of 850rwhp for track, don't need much more than that, the car the 408 is going into only weighs 2955lbs, I just wanted a bulletproof setup as far as shortblock is concerned. Will need better heads (thick deck) to run more boost to get much over that. Turbo I've got will go a long *** way, heads will hold me back and start pushing water.

Hell for 850rwhp a eagle rod with a good bolt would have worked.Cant beat a set of billets for under $500 though.****

That's EXACTLY what I said. JE Pistons -28cc dish, pro billets, eagle crank, studded mains. Nothing TOO special. The S480 with the race cover will support over 1000rwhp, I may push it on the dyno, but don't want to die at the track, I will be driving the car on the street too, and fully utilizing the dual stage boost controller to keep it under control on the street. Even with caltracs, that much power, the car can really be a handful I'm sure. Last engine was a solid roller, ported edelbrocked 464ci pontiac with h beams, JE pistons and it made 676hp with a victor and 1050 dominator. Unfortunately, I only got 4mpg and adjusting valves ALL the time got damn irritating, so I sold all of that, and am doing a 408 LS1 conversion in the ol 67. A ton of work, but I sure as hell am hoping it'll be worth it.
