Default STS new numbers

Well I just got back from getting the car retuned at Nelson Performance after some changes I made to my setup. I knew my limiting factor was my fuel system so thats why I could not push it any further. Next upgrade fuel system and going for 650whp. This run was at 12psi but had to cut it short due to the fuel situation. 537/501

and here is the run.

11.3 afr under boost.
48lb injectors, aftermarket rails, and walbro pump. Next is -10 supply, aeromotive pump and 60lbers with referenced regulator. Out of money for now.

I have the referenced regulator and my 42lb injectors duty cycle is at 99% with 11.5 afr.

I need to get 60lbers, -10 supply, and another walbro. I'm broke too, I know the feeling.

What was your IDC?

You should have a bit more room with those injectors, but then again, not sure since you don't have the boost ref regulator.

How many bits can you log with your scanner? That would be something to see if you have any room for more power.

Also, did you try and lean it out a bit and see if you made any more power? I know some turbo setups make more power with leaner afr

All I have is an aeroforce scan gauge that can only do so much since it does not log anything.

We pushed it one time and made about 550-560 but did not want to push it too lean since it is the stock 115k short block. He told me that he thinks we can get 600-650 with a better fuel system. Still running the beefed up 10bolt and it is starting to make noise.

Thanks. Yeah so I could eat your exhaust.

Yeah not bad through the 4l80e and a 10bolt. The 9inch will suck it down once I put one in though. I need to get it to the track before the rear gives up on me to see how much power its making real world.

I just assumed you had hp tuners or efi live since you said you tuned it.

I'm livin on the edge with the 10 bolt as well. No beefed upness for me though, just some 4.11 gears which are terrible for turbo setups. I have about 85k on mine.

Next on my list is most likely fueling and then the rear.

Same here, then a forged bottom so I throw some real boost at it. One step at a time I guess.

Well if you leave soft the rear should live for awhile hell I have harden axels and 373 gears in mine 10 bolt it wines when it gets hot aftera 180 mph stint on the testing grounds. But I wouldnt push it further bro with that power you should see 11's

Mine whins when it gets a little warm too. I just have some 3.42 gears and stiffening TAPerformance cover with some amsoil. I would love to see some mid to low 11s out of it the way it sits. Headed to the SAR soon to find out.
