Default Wastegate Size?

I have a Precision 74GTS, with a .96 ar. Butt mounted, just needing to know if a 38mm will be enough or if I should go for the 44. I plan to run between 8psi now and up to 14 or so later.

Everyone will tell you to go bigger...

Personal experience: In my car, I've gone through a turbo, a motor, and many other things... The Turbosmart 38mm WG that came with my kit has outlasted everything else. It held 6/7 psi from the spring and 8 psi with a Turbosmart MBC (still on the car too!) with NO problems for almost two years. When I had my motor built, I adjusted the MBC, tuned it for 15 psi, and I'm still on the same WG for another two years today.

Maybe I'm lucky?

Turbosmart gates are top notch....we have customers still running them after almost 6-7years of abuse.
