Default undersquare vs oversquare

let's say i have a boosted engine (turbo)...

1- will adding cubes just give me loads of torque down low and nothing more? (this being what i don't want)

2- what would promote high Rpms and top end more, a stroker or Bored?

Conventional thought uses as large as a bore as possible for high RPM power.
e.g. F1, CART, Motorcycles, IRL.

With a turbo the #1 factor is going to be the turbo you choose - the intake compressor wheel will pretty much fix how much air you can flow (HP potential) and the exhaust side will determine when it spools up, becomes a restriction, etc.

There is no point in worrying about minute differences is bored vs. stroked, etc. motors in this case - larger cubes should help you spool up slightly sooner - but then you could just change the a/r ratio slightly and keep the same spool up with more top end boost.

Basically the answer to the question is the turbo you choose is going to be the over-riding factor determining all of that. Everything else is secondary.
