I agree I've been running my Spec Twin for 5 months now with no problems. Very good pedal feel for a twin.

Subscribing,

I've been looking closely @ the RXT and the Spec Twin, also curious about the Fidanza Twin. So far the only peeps I've seen running the Fidanza is some of the Vette guys. What little info I've seen on it they seem to like it.

RPS carbon carbon twin will do the job. Its rated @ 1000hp. It costs a lot more than the other twins though.

The Spec 4 is supposed to be a solid hub.

I also think the holding power also depends on driving style.. My old OZ700 clutch held 800rwtq with no issues. Hell I ran that clutch with my old nitrous setup and kept on using it with my twin turbo setup. It did not show slippage until I turned the boost up and went over 900rwtq continously. I dont track my car and if I did race it it was from a 40 roll... I also dont power shift my car. I granny shift. I believe if you are making enough power and catch your victim in the right gear you dont need to shift fast.. Running the ExoSkel at the moment and I agree with the others about the rattle when at idle with the clutch to the floor.

The old OZ700 is a fantastic clutch.

Im using a Tex triple now...and so far no complaints either. If you really do get stuck in traffic a lot, I'd prefer the OZ700, but the triple is perfectly acceptable.

I upgraded to the triple a while back...but TBH, the OZ was holding perfectly, I just got paranoid as it had been working so well..I just assumed something had to let go soon lol

I have it as a spare now...they do make great clutches.

i love my street twin! my car doesn't make as much power but its 3700 lbs, i let the clutch go with 325 50s at 5500rpm and never had a problem. ive been running it for about 5 seasons with about 8k miles , no chatter or noise, amazing pedal pressure

You can hardly find any feedback on the RST and RXT but there is a ton about the Mcleod 'Street Twin'. What is the difference between the Mcleod 'Street Twin' and the twin-disc RST and RXT? I thought the Street Twin was the original Mcleod twin disc but apparently they still make it. I don't understand the need unless it is rated for more power. If it is rated for more though, I doubt it is as streetable?

Billy M. (if you're following this thread), it looks to me like the RST and RXT came around about the same time that turbo and supercharger power adders started being the new 'heads and cam' package. Was the RST and RXT designed to be a streetable alternative for higher hp cars that are daily driven?
