Car moves out for sure!
Consider this. Take the area of four primaries that are 1 1/4" times 4.
That is equal to the area of a 2 1/2" crossover. Do you see anybody with
1 1/4" priimaries? Now there is the pulsing to take intro account but not that much. I used the 3" because thats what the math told me. I do have access to a 2 1/2" crossover that we will be testing later in the year, I really dont expect much. The idea behind the the smaller crossover is to increase velocity, anytime you do you lose pressure. Makes it a fine line between a hotter faster moving charge going into the turbine but with higher backpressure at the engine.

call me stupid but i think i'll roll with what the guy who's making 2400hp (larger motor, larger turbo, more boost, more rpm... and get this... A 2.5" CROSSOVER) and trapping damn near 200... sorry for "SHITTING ON YER THREAD", next time i'll try not to **** in your cheerios with good information...

do what you want but im pretty sure its not often that you get advice from someone like phil. another thing to consider, im willing to bet about 80% of TT5/ outlaw radial cars are also running a 2.5" crossover. they must be doing something wrong too, huh?

Is this information that you have tried on your car? What is your car and set up?

There are other factors to consider like tube length and how well the material being used holds the heat. As well as turbine housing and T flange size. Ultimately, both 2.5" (4.9"SA ea) or 3.0 (7.0" SA each) pipes are merging into a single T4 (just under 5.9" SA)or T6 flange (just under 9.2" SA). Making the pipes too small for the combo will result in difficulty with regulating the boost down and requires more ideal WG placement. Ultimately, you want the biggest pipe that will still build boost on the line as it will allow you to run more overlap cam and typically have less backpressure down track which equals more power/psi of boost.

Last october. I need to change the gear to go any faster. I left the 3.7 gear in because I want to race some 1/8 mile stuff this year. I never maxed out the GT55. I have the PTE X275 88 mm large frame turbo now and some better 6 bolt heads. Maybe my setup is the best and maybe it is not. I choose to live or die by my own sword (math)

Such a sick setup in this car, and the fab work is fantastic, just ignore the haters, all that it means when you have haters is that you are doing something right
