Where can I get Ls motor header flanges?
I have some manifolds for a turbo build in a 71 Nova but I think I wannna go the header route and build them. Where can get some flanges to start with? Should I go with steel tubing for the primaries and get it coated or would I be better off using stainless steel to resist cracking and so forth?
One last question is do you think I am wasting my time because there are some guys running stupid fast with manifolds on their cars?

I'd use stainless, to my experience you get a much nicer product. The bad part is the materials are expensive as hell. The best ive found on the flanges is 150 something at stainless works. there are some on ebay too but by the time you pay the ebay version of shipping they cost more than at stainless works.

sounds nice. what kinda power / turbo you looking at going with? this would give a better idea on what to run though as you mentioned serious power can be had with factory manifolds. as far as MS vs SS, other than for corrosion reasons the MS is eaiser to work with and less prone to cracking due to heat cycling. i personally learned how to weld on stainless first so its no big deal for me anymore but something to consider

For that serious of an engine I would definately go the tubular header route, although cast headers would and do work, if your going for more than 1500hp (sounds like you are) your just leaving hp on the table. mostly because that engine is to big for the super short runners of the truck header.

^^^ That is what i am trying to find out. If I am leaving something on the table going the manifold route. I will most likely put headers on it since everything else on this build is high end.
Does anybody know if the Ohio boys did anything to modify their manifolds such as port them or extrude hone them?

i actually did a drawing to do that, if you had a friend that would cut them real cheap maybe, or a shop that had enough scrap lying around, material is expensive. i was gonna get a 4x4 sheet of em cut and sell the rest, just wasnt worth it when i checked all the prices. like i could made some money but not enough to justify
