Default Boost falling off. Help!!!

Well, went to the track last night, 1st pass, hit 2nd and car fell right down, look at my boost gauge and its at 3 psi.
All my lines are tight, turbos tight exhaust tight. Only thing i could think of was maybe bad blow off or waist gates. I took it apart, everything looked ok, but im not sure how to test them out.
Any info would be great.
Thanks!

Maybe try a bicycle tire pump with a pressure guage on it and see where your wastegates/bov are opening at.

that could work, just have to make a contraption for it. Guess it might have to do.

hmm.. a leak that large i'd think would be very noticeable.. maybe one of the discharges blew off one of the turbos.

possibly something blocking the inlet on a turbo?

anything sound like an exhaust leak?

try to do a pressure test yea..

All the piping looks fine.
I'll have to check the inlet, i'll do that in a few minits.
No leak i can hear.
Press test on the system?
Or motor?

I pressure tested mine with a trailor tire innertube. bought the tube cut it in half clamped one end on to the inlet on the turbo and the other end on the pipe that clamps onto the throttlebody then pumped the tube up to about 25psi and then listen for leaks.do this on one of your turbos but on the other you`ll hve to block off the inlet somehow to keep the air from leaking out. Good luck finding your prob. hope this helps.

Just had an idea. How many psi of boost were you running? if you had a wastgate stick open or you broke a wastgate spring one turbo would bypass and stop making boost, meaning a 50% boost loss. Hence if you were running 6psi now you`d only be making 3psi

I pulled the gates today, I put a compresor to them, they opend up under about 20psi. This is what the spring is. My boost controler was also a suspect to me. so I pulled it, and ran 5 psi, it held ok, but the car felt like ****. I just brought it home and found 4 burned plug wires. Right threw. I didnt see this because of the heat wrap on it. So i just pulled the plugs, Black as could be on the 4 bad ones. Im going to make a new set as soon as i get cables. I'll order tommorow.
While it was up, I turned the press up on the waist gate springs, so we will see once the plugs go back in if it was the controler.
The 4 bad wires would not do this to the car, But to think I went 10's with this prob tells me their is more left in my 3790 lbs car!!

Could be a cracked intercooler pipe or a leak.

Just an idea...Not sure they are at all the same..but...

The ATR down pipe is nice and the machining of their wastegate is excellent. However the design of the WG is a bit suspect. I have communicated with 2-3 people who have had boost control problem with this WG. Andrew V. ( http://members.aol.com/projectsvo/index.html ) told me of a fix he came up with that allowed the WG to work as one expects.

PSJ, I checked all the piping, I didnt pull the IC to look at that, But all the hoses and piping is ok.
JAM,,,, That was great info. I might just scrap my Aplied tech gates and get tial. I have a tial BOV so I might just try it out. Thanks alot.
I did find 4 bad plug wires so this should help to.

Also, Can I bypass my Boost controler and run just off the waist gates alone? To do this I have to connect my hose from the waist gates (that went to the controler) to the hose that gose to my intake(this hose went to the other side of the controler) Correct? I already did this and drove the car, It only made 5 psi, But seemed to hold it. But the car felt like **** (due to plugs and wires) so I put it away. I should be able to adjust my spring press and make my 8 psi correct.
Thanks for all the help.

One more problem, I dont know for sure what size my waist gates are. I forget what they are.
But you think it would be worth the swap? Make boost more stedy? Im looking into it now. See what happens.

Smokin, you made my bar famous....and my downtubes...thanks, I was looking for a way to post those for someone else to see...i.e.Brad.
as per the flange question, if I had the instructions as I requested a few times now I would know for sure.

I have twin T-44's.

I did more last night, I put 8 new plugs, and made 8 new wires. Put it all back, went for a ride, and same thing boost falls to 3 psi high rpm!
I dont get it. When I got home I did however find that my hose going to my boost gauge was backed out a bit, this may be a small leak, i dont think it would bleed off 5 psi however. I also found my intake manifold bolts where a little loose.
Im out of Ideas, Unless i just put new waistgates on, and a new bov, But unfortunatly I dont have the money, and i wouldnt have the parts fast enoph to race this weekend.
Any other ideas????
Im going to go threw all the piping again tonight, just to double check.
