Supercharger install problem. HELP!

Default Supercharger install problem. HELP!
ok so im installing a v1 vortech supercharger on my 97 z28. i have a 23% underdrive pully/ harmonic balancer on it now so the pully for the supercharger wont match up to bolt together. Do i have to put a stock harmonic balancer on it?

I'm pretty sure you do have to put the stock one back. Plus with the added power you'll be running I personally wouldn't run a underdrive anyways.

so these guys with 800hp camaros supercharged are runnig stock balancers. this sucks i just bought mine like 6 months ago and just **** can the stock one.

No some of us have 10% overdrive dampners like the Innovators West one that I have. Larger balancer means more boost...

yeah, no point to an underdrive pulley with a supercharger, you'll be spinning the blower pulley too slow. A 10% overdrive balancer on my blower would net me about 2-3 more lbs of boost.

Think what a 23% underdrive would do to yours...

You could. A lot of people also run the ATI Balancer. But with your setup I think you have to stick with the stocker, unless Vortech makes a different pulley.

You need the stock pulley to mount that.

i just talked with a guy from superchargersonline.com and he said the i will have to get the stock one milled down to fit the vortech crank pully. WTF
