Default Aussie roots style blower intake

I figured I would post this so if anyone has any experience with it they could tell us about it.
I am curious if it might provide more clearance so that we might be able to put a roots or a screw on our F-Body's? The only thing bad is I don't know how I would mount a intercooler (like what the Magnacharger uses) but I would want to use one no matter what.!

One last thing. I have seen some pics in Hot Rod Rag about the new Ford GT (beautiful GT 40 throwback) and the Eaton unit (made by Magnuson which is Magnacharger) on the car is a true Lysholm Screw type super charger. This also would lead me to question will the Vette owners be able to order a screw charger for their car in the near future????

thats pretty cool and not that spendy. I would like to see someone do that here in the states. The $2000 is in AUS dollors so its alot lower. last time i was there we gave them $100 and they gave u back $170. dont know cureent exchange rate though.

At your suggested exchange rate, it works out to about $3200US for the MX426, pulleys, bypass, intake, blower and thermal isolation plate. That's a great price to buy into FI.

It'll work great on the GTO. Too bad we can't fit it on the F-Bod.

No, the cowl intereferes because of the engine being set back under the windshield. Unless this intake somehow moves the blower forward, the cowl will interfere with the blower. It can be cut to fit, but few owners want to cut up their cars.

Are we sure that it will not fit? The Magnacharger uses a pulley system that runs down the side of the blower to the back of the engine while this uses a traditional front mounted pulley. That was why I wanted everyone to see it. I figured that this system might require a new hood but that is not a big deal with the VFN units avaliable.

(No flame intended, just don't want us to miss out on any options that we might have.)

This would be an awsome set-up for guys looking at the GTO. Dont rule the F-bod out until someone trys it. oh and the current exchange rate is almost 70.8 cents to the dollor so it went down a little. give them 100 now and they give you back 141.12
