First question is: What are your power goals?

Sorry guys! I meant forced air induction, my goals are 650 to 700 hp so the f1a is a bit more than what I need...

Anyways what do you guys suggest on what cam and heads for Forced air, from what I have read it looks like 317 heads are pretty common

yea, get some 317 heads at least. You definitely need to be closer to the 9.0~9.5:1 compression range. A D1SC will get you into that power range, but thats suicide to attempt it on a stock bottom end man...

yea i know, 650-700 is my goal but until I have the funds to build my bottom end I will keep the hp around 550 or so, I just wanted to know what head and cam package to go with, that way when I build my bottom end my setup will be ready for it.....what is a good cam for my goals?

Dude i would hold off on buying the heads if you plan on running the stock bottom end at that power level. If you blow your motor you take the chance of taking the cylinder heads out with it.

A d1sc would be better suited for this task.

I am talking about the d1 procharger.....I thought as long as I kept the boost around 8lbs I would be ok, that's what I was told from a couple guys on here...

For a stock bottom end, I'd recommend a set of stock 317 or 035 heads (same thing), a double spring like patriot golds with hardened pushrods, and a comp SC2 cam from speed inc, or the blower cam EPP sells. Those combined with a D1 kit with the larger filter EPP sells and a good exhaust with headers should get you in the 500~550 range with a conservative tune at ~8psi. Don't get greedy with the boost. You may make the number you want with a lower boost# if you have a good exhaust. The stock pistons are good for a certain amount of HP, not any certain amount of boost pressure, so keep that in mind.

I'm going to run the stock heads and stock long block, ls6 springs and 60's with 110k on the d1, 4.5" pulley and fmic. I wouldnt recommend it but I don't feel like changing them at the moment. It should be fine with low timing and meth. I will switch to e85 once I get a second pump
