I'm liking the BOV, it did have a 9lb spring in it, stayed shut mostly then fluttered driving around. It was kinda worrying methat it was straining the blower so I swapped out a 3lb spring and now it stays open mostly except under boost. I love it now

Nice power increase! 7.65/3.4 is spinning the D1 pretty good eh.
So besides the intake/TB, the only thing you did was remove the intake hat to gain 3 psi....plus you added 2 degrees of timing?

I'm a little confused. How did you get the extra 3psi? It just made more boost with the new set-up? Either way, nice gains looks better too!

Those are great numbers no doubt man! I too agree with many others, the intake manifold isnt the contributor to the newfound power, the extra boost and timing is.. Id also like to know where the extra 3psi came from? Did you put on a different pulley? Or was removing the hat the culprit? Were all runs made with the hat off? If so, what kind of power did it make with the hat on? Again, VERY nice numbers, and the A/F looks dead nuts on! I'm definitely lookin forward to having Brett tune my car too as soon as I get it runnin and funds saved up. Oh yeah, one more question (sorry for so many ) but were you running meth in both before and after graphs?

Chad, I'm assuming it came from the filter setup being removed, the stock filter was filthy too. I don't have a run without it on the LS6 intake unfortunately, sorry, we talked about that after how a comparison would have been nice, hindsight is 20/20 I guess lol.

I'm still not 100% sure where it came from and I don't know if 3psi and 2* timing can add 130rwhp alone? Condition wise these runs were 30* warmer and 20% more humidity so they certainly werent more favorable. It actually did 790 on one pull but was too lean up top so Brett added some more fuel to get it back down

Well, 3psi is definitely gainable (is that a word? lol) with the absence of the hat and stock small filter (especially if its dirty!) if there was no pulley swap... I hope you arent running too rich now tho after the dyno session with the hat and filter back on the car. Is it still making 18psi running around on the street with the filter and hat on? Ive never had an SD tune, so I don't know for sure, but maybe that will correct the A/F with the hat and filter on.. So were/are you running meth at all? I'd really like to know if that tune was done with meth because I'm spraying it in my car and want my A/F to be as good as yours!

What ever caused the gains worked. I wouldn't worry about it too much as you saw that kind of increase and it was tuned for it. Congrats on some good results regardless of having no idea what caused them.

Wow Trust, those are some NICE numbers!

Definitely subscribing. Makes me want to tinker with my Procharged car some more. The track car has taken my time and drained my wallet, but your thread is motivating me to give Squeaky some love.

My brother has a video camera, I'll see if I can steal it and get some idle/rev/BOV videos today, I'm about to clean the car and I'll see what I can do.

Chad, that was with meth, alkycontrol single nozzle kit set to come on at 4psi. I don't think I've turned the kit off since I got it, added insurance I guess. From talking to a few of the local turbo/FI gurus 93+Meth is ~116 in the motor so the tune is pretty safe. I had Brett back off 2* for the street incase I get a bad batch of 93 or something, it'll only get 101+Meth at the track just so I have peace of mind and I know it has good gas in it. I plan to be at the midnights not this weekend but the next, no more TVRP for this guy!

Sweet! Thats good news about the meth. Thats the same exact kit I'm runnin We can't get 93 octane here in tulsa, so I'm limited to 91, but still, I would think that 91 + meth would be in the 110 equivalent range at least. Can't wait to get mine runnin You have inspired me as well. I'd like to see 750 or more at the wheels on my setup soon as she's tuned..

Should be sick man! Unfortunately there is only 2 places to get 93 around here and they are both $4/gal, but as much as I drive the car it is ok. I have no doubt you'll get there power wise, my setup eats a lot of power! Definitely let me know when you come down, I wanna check it out.

Chad for your reference, I checked the car with the hat on and the A/F is still perfect. the hat/filter restrict airflow into the blower, thus restricting boost. it is tuned so that no matter what boost he sees, he will have a correct A/F ratio. And as Trust said.......I backed timing down 2* for the street to be on the safe side, it's not like 750+ hp is useable on the street anyway.

Hellz yea! Thats the kind of news I like to hear. I want to be able to take the hat on and off of mine as well for track outings if I feel like it and not have to worry about the tune. Thanks for chiming in Brett
