does a ls6 cam make a good turbo cam? i'm going to use it regardless, until i can afford a good cam. but with 117.5 lobe seperation. sounds like good turbo cam.

The Z06 cams are awesome for boost. 2001 Z06 cams are a bit smaller so look for a 02-04 z06 cam. You can always get a good off the shelf cam. An LSA of 116 and higher will be good. Anything lower than 116 IMO is bad news due to bleed off. I ran into the same issue with my Turbo T/a. it was a 222/224 with a 112 lsa. Picked up good down low but never saw al the boost.

There is so much miss information on here about turbo cams. Boost makes so much decent stuff look great. I feel a c5z06 cam would work good with stock heads on low boost. A good turbo cam depends on your setup and power goals. If you have a stock 5.3 yes a ls6 cam would work good. If you have a c5r head 427 it would suck. What are you looking for out of your build?

lol, we initially tried the spec's of our forced induction camshaft on a 2002 Z006 that we built using an HP turbo twin turbo kit. Here is a link to this car. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=26 The owner wanted a camshaft with a 60's sounding idle. It worked out great and we have used it on other turbo cars and many cars and trucks with ProChargers and Maggies. Here is a link to this Z06 on the dyno and on the highway. http://video.google.com/url?docid=30...HCAO9kkY_gce6w
