I know, it is a custom job with alot off trial and error , but when sorted there is no belt slip . My set up works quite well , with the ysi vortec we are seing 20-22 psi engine is a 402 ci.

Gilmer belt drive is the belt and pulleys have the ribs facing the other way as opposed to serpentine. With my custom system there is no belt slip , we have made 1100 rwhp

Thanks, I see that now. Did alittle search last night. Going to try to look more into this, just everything is so tight on a F-body, but I need to do something to quit breaking blower belts. The most boost I have seen out of my 427/F1R so far is 19 lbs with a 7.65/4.0 pulley combination with an 8 rib setup.

Have you ever tuned on one of these newer PCM's? As Louis stated, SD tuning is much more difficult on these than on the older f-bodies and C5's. On the older cars, you just fail the MAF and dial in the VE tables. These new PCMs don't even have a VE table to begin wth. You have to flash them with a custom OS and then build your VE table from scratch. I haven't had to do it yet but it doesn't look fun.
There's no problem with driveability so that's why I was asking. It looks like a shortcut to me to keep the MAF. I'm willing to be educated though.

they are both maf and sd.... SD takes over after the MAF is maxed... If you understand tuning then what is so hard for you to grasp??? with the new LS3,7,9 maf "card" it is the way to go... but since you have done both (and we have) you already know this... I prefer the maf into sd tune... I've had several SD tuned cars, and this is a better setup for me... ZERO short cuts have been taken in regards to tuning on John's setup or my setup... why even call something a shortcut that you have never tried???

Hit 1,030rwhp @ 5,500 rpm's and 912rwtq @ 5,000 rpm's with 20.5# of boost. This was late in the day after the engine was heat soaked. The 10 rib is still slipping up top. Will put the tuning on hold for a week, so the body shop can prep / paint the new hood.
